Dr. Christine Moorhead Dovre, MD, FAAD

Made an appointment at Advanced Dermatology in Altamonte Springs to have my wife’s mole on her nose biopsied, as a prerequisite to seeing Dr. Moorhead. I was told by the PA that the biopsy would require the mole be removed and would leave a scar. I asked if Dr. Moorhead would do that since she is primarily a scar-free surgeon. I was told that the biopsy would be required prior to seeing Dr. Moorhead but since the biopsy procedure would require the mole be removed, a PA would do it and there would be no reason to see Dr. Moorhead. I denied the biopsy since the reason we wanted to see Dr. Moorhead is her excellent reviews with emphasis on microsurgery of the face. I fail to understand the prerequisite requirement to see another doctor prior to an appointment to see Dr. Moorhead. I want to emphasize that this review is a reflection of the Advance Dermatology group and not of Dr. Moorhead, but there seems to barriers to get through in this group to even get an appointment with Dr.… Moorhead. The office visit was very disappointing to say the least.
