Dr. Christine Anne Olson, MD

I have been going to Christine and her brother for over 20 years and called Dr Christine because I recently relocated to Arizona and needed my records transferred and she never sent them to my new Dr after my new Dr sent all the necessary forms back to Dr Olson. Very good bedside manner. Poor judgement on meds to take. Put me on an anti-psychotic that turned my life upside down. It's 4 years later and my internal thermostat is still off.

I really like her. She is attentive and listens and is very knowledgeable about different medications and treatments. I have been seeing her for a very long time and have traveled a long way to continue to see her.

After much research looking for a new psychiatrist, I finally chose Christine Olson. It took 6 weeks to get an appointment. The appointment was during a "lunch time" window. Minutes after I sat down her stomach starting "growling." I mean very loud. Non stop for the entire appointment. I sat there in disbelieve that she couldn't have eaten an apple or something before I arrived. I thought "how can this woman concentrate on what I'm saying because she's so hungry." Also, she received a phone call and got up and left while I just sat in her office waiting to come back. I also felt rushed. I also felt that she didn't have any empathy or concern. Which I think is an attribute a psychiatrist should have. Needless to say, I was not impressed.

Dr. Christine Olson is likeable, but she made an error that has and continues to affect my life. I went to her for help with my depression. I tried many different meds a long time ago, but wanted to try something new. She made some suggestions, which I tried without success. One drug in particular had severe negative results and it took me some time to wean myself off, so I could try something else. I don't know if she just didn't consult her notes, but several trial-and-error meds after that, she put me on the same meds that made life impossible for me before. I didn't catch it until it was too late. Not only did I suffer needlessly (again), but one of the side effects was tinnitus, which I now suffer from .... every day, all day and all night. It is awful to live with. Mistakes like this are inexcusable.

Have always found this doctor to be classy, friendly, non-judgmental and a good listener. She always asks pertinent questions to assess if meds are working well enough. I have always been comfortable with her. She has been accomodating during times of no insurance as well as on insurance. The support staff are also terriffic! Hours and location are great.
