Dr. Christine Guevara Querimit, MD

In my opinion, I wouldn’t recommend. Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience with her.

At age 64 I saw Dr Querimit for the first time for my annual physical. At the end of the appointment I asked if they were going to check my prostate. The reply was "no, we don't do that anymore". At 65, now on Medicare, went in for 2nd annual physical with this Dr and again at the end of the appointment asked about checking my prostate, the answer was "it is not a reliable test". I said that my previous Doctor has been checking it every year since I turned 50, I don't understand why all of a sudden it is not reliable. Due to this and other reasons we went to the office to request a different Dr. but were discouraged to change. We decided to go somewhere else entirely since we were unhappy with the care we received. Upon finding a new Dr, it was a 7 month wait for a new patient apt. At my 'meet and greet' appointment the new Dr ran bloodwork and found my PSA was 7.3. We were traveling but the Dr wanted another PSA test done. This time it was 8.2! I was scheduled for an apt with the new… Dr, he did the prostate exam and could feel all the cancer nodules. I was immediately scheduled for MRI and Urologist apts. Urologist did the biopsy, 13 of the 14 biopsies were positive for cancer. Because it was so advanced I was also scheduled for a bone scan. The Radiologist said the cancer was too advanced for radiation treatment, and recommended a radical proctectomy. My gleason score was high 8, almost 9. After the 2nd PSA test, the new Dr wanted to know my last PSA result. I contacted MHC and played phone tag for over a month, because no one answers the phone anymore, only to find out that there were NO PSA tests for my last 2 physicals at MHC with Dr Querimit. So I contacted our previous Dr in San Diego and had the answer in 2 minutes on my first call to their office. My most recent previous PSA test in 2017 was 3.4. If the PSA test was run by Dr Querimit, this cancer could have been caught sooner and with other less invasive options for treatment. My bodily functions affected by the surgery have still not returned to anything even close to normal and it has been 9 months. IF YOU ARE A MAN OVER 50 YRS OLD, I STRONGLY RECCOMEND YOU FIND ANOTHER DR.

I've only been seen seeing her for a short while but I've learned quickly that she doesn't listen to your concerns. I asked weeks ago for her to refer me to a therapist after all admitting I was in a very dark and dangerous frame of mind. The therapist has still not recurring received the referral. She also is unwilling to listen about other health issues that I've brought up and keeps you tells telling me that everything's fine even though my bloodworm shows it's out of normal range(she told me my numbers are off). It's a bad mix of forcing one RX on you that you don't need and don't want, and ignoring the help you do ask for. It's dangerous.

Iv had a hard time with Dr querimit. Does not listen to my needs at all. Draws blood prescribes a pill. Does not ask about you whatsoever and your feelings and what's going on in your life. Iv been trying for months to get a CPAP machine. Forgot about my referral for a couple of months and sent me to the wrong people. I'm just not comfortable with her.

Intial visit. I explained what was going on. I reexplained to inter... answering many questions multiple times. Dr came in and had answers I never stated. Told me to do something I had been doing for 6 months. Did not address concerns.
