Dr. Christine Saracino, DO

Our infant daughter presented to the pediatric emergency room in respiratory distressed. She was managed on bipap for 40 min until she started to decompansate. PICU and difficult airway team came to bedside. We vehemently objected to Dr. Nazish Malik, a junior resident, to doing the intubation. We requested that PICU fellow, or anesthesia or ENT given their skilled expertise in this procedure to performed the intubation since they were at bedside. Dr. Saracino ingored our request and we were escorted out of the room and forced to watch the intubation from across the room. Dr. Malik's intubation was complicated by our daughter's desaturation to 50s% for 3-4 min until a senior physician corrected it. Their documentation in the chart said no complications. She aslo performed 2 IOs line on our daughter despite her having 2 IVs. When inquire why, were dismissed. Dr. Saracino is the most unthecial and inhumane out there. Completely violated our family's autonomy. No family should be… subjected to this.
