Dr. Christopher James Craig, MD

My complaint is not of malpractice but that of a lack of caring or that of a basic human understanding. After being a patient for 8 yrs,Dr Craig became cold and condescending to me. When I had begun seeing him I had just been in a car accident (I was already injured before the accident with herniated disc's in my neck )which put me into a world of pain and migraines constantly which interfered with living a normal life and being able to work, and I was looking for answers. I never got answers or a fix for my neck pain or migraines I just have had to learn to deal with them which I don't fault my doctors for it all I understand that is just the fallout of the things that happened to me.I knew there was no miracle,but I was looking for someone to help me manage and find answers. I thought we had a good rapport and that he understood what my day-to-day life was like. My husband even came in and talked to him and helped share my struggles with him so that he could hear it from his… perspective as well. We thought he would always have our best interest at heart. I have had many other health issues while seeing Dr Craig,some of them include bells palsy,and IBS,Hashimoto's disease over the past 8 yrs and it has been quite a roller coaster dealing with one of these things after another. If you know anything of these conditions,they are not easy to live with, on top of the chronic daily pain that I live with. I go sometimes weeks with a migraine without hardly any relief. I have worked to manage my pain in other ways so that I can live without pain medication, I see a physical therapist/massage therapist once a week to manage pain and quit pain pills cold turkey. On our most recent visit I had just been to the ER the previous day over the weekend,we followed up with my regular doctor as suggested by the hospital, they had suggested a specialist as well. Dr. Craig came into the room and treated us like we were overreacting and was rude about the whole situation. We were there seeking his advice and expertise and he said "I don't think we need to hit the panic button",and "I guess you're just here to get the referral" we said we want your advice we want your opinion that's why we are here the ER doctor said to see a regular doctor after ruling out some things with a cat scan. He kept cutting us off when we tried to tell him these things and gave us an attitude and we just didn't understand why. We didn't understand why he was acting upset with us. He said some things that alluded to the fact that I need to suck it up and that it would be good for me to do so. He basically made me feel like I was a hypochondriac who was bothering him and wasting his time. I don't understand how he could be so cold and clinical, especially after having seen me several times a year for almost a decade. When we left I resolved to find a new doctor. We were both very disgusted at his attitude and the way he treated me, but mainly in shock,and I was just plain hurt. I barely held it in until I left the office and then I burst into tears I had never felt so small,been demeaned like that,like I was just a complaining woman who was seeking attention. There are a million things I would rather do than be in a doctors office all the time and be sick all the time there are things I have not been able to do because of how sick I've been the last decade of my life. We thought he understood,and it's why I am so upset. I felt demeaned,looked down upon,judged. This is not what the medical community should be. "Physician,do no harm", your patients should feel you have their best interest at heart, they should not feel crushed by your condescension and your uncaring and aloof attitude. You are supposed to help us,you are supposed to be here for us.

Simply the best personal and family doctor i have every had. He is awesome with me, my elderly parent and terrific with both of my kids. You can not find a more personable and will informed doctor anywhere. Finding him for our care was a true blessing from above.

He is a phenominal doctor and we feel fortunate to have found him for our family.
