I wish I could give two ratings. As a psychiatrist, five stars - probably 10. His extensive knowledge of the nuances of conditions he treats and his prompt return of phone calls and the thoroughness of his work is honestly beyond compare. I’ve never found any psychiatrist as good in those areas. I had to switch to a new one because of insurance changes. I saw Davenport for 15 years. However, from the perspective of a former patient - he gets a zero for transparency, openness, and respect of patient rights and needs beyond his specific care. Upon requesting my medical records, he refused to provide me more than an incomplete summary of care rather than my complete medical records. There is a statute which gives him that choice, but it is a choice. He could provide them to me directly if he wanted to. There really isn’t any reason that he shouldn’t. To advocate for oneself, one must have accurate and complete records. He is denying me that and that is upsetting to say the least. So… my advice: if you have a complex history with meds, he’s the one. He knows his stuff. And he keeps up with research constantly. But keep your own thorough records!!! Of all dates, meds, dosages, and reactions. Because you will NOT get it from him if you need it in the future. And your new psychiatrist that he is willing to forward records to - whoever that may be - will almost surely not be as knowledgeable or thorough. If you want to advocate for yourself in the future, you will only be equipped with the records you keep. Don’t count on him for that. I wish I had known this, which is why I’ve left this review. So other people will know upfront!

Seen him regularly for four (4) years. Have seen three (3) others as we moved around. They were excellent. I trust Dr. Davenport. He has excellent training and is knowledgeable in his field and in medications. I have been very fortunate in healthcare for nearly 40 years. Dr. Davenport is the "real deal". Not everyone is a good fit with everyone in life including doctors. Good luck.

I've been a patient of Dr.Davenport for awhile and He is kind,patient and he doesn't make you feel like Your crazy for being his patient..I would recommend Highly.

I have been seeing Dr. Davenport for over ten years. He is well-versed in psychiatry and physical well-being and relates the two in his practice. His counseling relates your physical health to your emotional health in a way that leads you to grow in both areas. He also has a vast understanding of medication and makes sure that his patients get the medicine best suited for them

Dr. Davenport Is a great Dr for anxiety, and panic Disorder he listens and cares about you I have been seeing him for 12 to 15 years and I would highly recommend him to anyone that needed help with these Issues

My husband has been going to Dr Davenport for several months and has not been getting better. For the 1st time talking to him on a Saturday (after hours) I heard him scolding my husband not to bother him in a very stern and crude way. He doesn’t even take insurance and he is probably the worst psychiatrist. Who does he think he is???? He is certainly not good enough that’s for sure!!! To top that off he was prescribing one medicine that would increase anxiety and that was what he was going for, can you believe it????

He is THE best Psychiatrist that I have ever seen in my life!
