Dr. Christopher Deig, MD

Christopher Deig, MD, prioritizes making his patients feel heard, respected and empowered to make their own medical decisions. He wants patients to always feel comfortable asking questions to understand their treatment and alternative options. Dr. Deig is passionate about radiation oncology and ensuring every patient is offered the best treatment available for their condition. He believes in integrating modern technology with the goal of making treatment more convenient and effective while reducing patients' side effects.Dr. Deig studied biology, chemistry and history at Wabash College in Indiana before completing medical school at Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed post-doctoral radiobiology research studying blood tests that can help detect and monitor for cancer. Dr. Deig also completed a transitional medicine internship at Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center in Denver before his formal training in radiation oncology at Oregon Health & Science University. …During this time, he gained extensive experience in advanced radiotherapy techniques including brachytherapy, radiosurgery and integration of new technologies, including artificial intelligence.Dr. Deig has published over 20 peer-reviewed research articles covering topics including head and neck, pancreatic, liver and lung cancers. He has also designed a randomized controlled trial for liver cancer in training and is motivated to integrate the newest data and radiotherapy techniques into his daily practice.In his free time, Dr. Deig loves camping, hiking, photography, running, and spending time outdoors with his wife and children.
