Dr. Christopher Dion Hoy, MD

He has been my physician for many years. He also has treated members of my family, all good. I recommend him to anyone who needs a primary in our area.

Dr Hoy is disciplined with time, but not all then waiting is his fault. He just has a habit of speaking out of line and can be nasty. He may know his stuff, but what difference does it make if you leave there feeling unsettled, insulted, not liked and challenged? I could go on and on, but I won't. I will give credit where credit is due, he does care...but if I could say to him....life is too short to over diagnose with your pshchoanalysis and criticizm for people surfing then net. Everyone does, so if someone has a question just answer it and don't get caught up in person feelings. Towards the end you drained me and I really felt if I were to ever get really sick you may not care for me. All Dr's make you wait, so that is never an issue. If they are late they are probably doing their job, and not being bound by the insurance company guidelines, which are ridiculous.

Superior doctor, pays strong attention to detail , follows up personally.

Dr. Hoy is kind and considerate. He ALWAYS takes the time to talk over any health issue. He follows up even if he has to do it during the evening hours. If he is unsure of a health problem, he will do research on it and get back to you. My entire family, including my grandmother, mother and now my husband and I, have been patients of Dr. Hoy. We all have had great respect and confidence in his skills.

Dr. Hoy is terrific. He's thorough, accurate, and very knowledgeable.

Dr. Hoy and his staff saved my life so many times its hard to count. His staff is the best there is and I dont know what I would do without him. He always listens to me and if I have a issue while being an impatient he takes care of it. I have never had a more compassionate, patient doctor who is willing to listen to my needs and do the best that he can do. I absolutely love being a patient of his! Although I do see him at Glens Falls Hospital. I would like to add that he does communicate to all my physicians so they can coordinate the best of care, and that he does!

The FNP's arrogant and condescending demeanor should have been a indication as to what to expect; hectoring interview with snide personal comments. Surviving that ordeal, the nurse who accompanied me to Dr. Hoy's examination room, said something to the effect that despite my prior unpleasant experience, I still kept my appointment. When I mentioned his FNP's "interrogation," I expected Dr. Hoy would respond accordingly by asking what I meant. Instead, without interest in my remark, nor any apology, he assumed a defensive and haughty approach to the short follow-up . I was there to discuss the tests related to my remaining kidney, yet, I was verbally harassed about my TSH levels and high BP spikes, both of which are monitored by other doctors, and both of which I am aware can affect the kidney. After an abrupt end to my exam (during which I had to explicitly elicit answers pertinent to the renal tests' results), I followed him to the front office where he slapped my file down and… announced to the office staff, "SHE's too healthy for us; SHE doesn't need another appointment." At that point, I believe he picked up my file, and while walking back to ?, said something which was not totally clear, but I responded, "Thank you." Since I could feel my face flushing, I knew my blood pressure was boiling at that point. Not only was it totally humiliating and embarrassing, but it also was totally unprofessional on his part (similar to the exiting remarks of the FNP at the close of our session) in the presence of office staff and a nurse (FNP session).

Dr. Hoy is an extremely competent and caring physician. Three members of my family have benefited from having him as their doctor over the last 20 years. All the people in the office have treated us effectively, efficiently and with great kindness.

I have been a patient for15 years the quality of care is excellent. Dr Hoy gives me his full attention when I have questions. I am a kidney transplant recipient, with Dr Hoy's guidance, I continue to live a healthy life.staff is great and compassionate to all your needs.
