Dr. Christopher Mark Kozlowski, MD

In 2014 Dr. Kozlowski attempted to open a partially blocked coronary artery that occurred between two stents placed in 2004. He was unsuccessful in this attempt. Between the procedure and the follow up appointment I gained some insight in the use of nutrition for heart disease. The moment I brought up the subject Dr. K shut down. He would not look me in the eye and became expressionless. He claimed no knowledge of Dr. Esselstyn and his book "How to Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease" and he voiced that he did not believe it would make much of a difference and that I should not perform endurance sports that I love. By following a strict Whole Food Plant Based No Oil diet, I effortlessly lost 40 pounds and climbed Mt. Blanc (15,770 feet tall)10 months later on skis. Despite all my efforts, including statins, that partial blockage has increased, which I realized while climbing on snowshoes through thigh deep powder. I have a capable team at University of Washington Medical to… take care of it, but I am amazed at the difference in the information I have received this week. Dr. K only drew me a cartoon diagram on a white sheet of paper, while my new cardiologist showed me multiple videos of the blockage in my heart. Dr. K did no follow up after I discussed nutrition. I do not recommend Dr. K as a cardiologist until he gets more current with life style prevention and recovery.

This doctor does not listen to his patients. He is very arrogant and has no class. It has created an aversion to doctors at Overlake for me. I would never recommend him and do not plan on going back!
