I, in 41 years of chronic illness (my entire life), have NEVER met a provider more concerned, listened so intently, constantly checked in to make sure his understanding was what I felt was wrong + what my symptoms were. When you're in his hands, as a patient you feel like you're the only person in the world that matters. That's incredibly hard to do these days. When I worked in healthcare in 06, we were pressed for time. I'm sure it's 10x worse or more now. This man's kindness, compassion and empathy knows no bounds. No one has had EVER been more thorough in explain at every step of the way. I care about this for many reasons, but it's critical for me not to have a panic attack in office bc my trauma history and mental health Dx. To talked about his thoroughness, he said I read your chart. I said oh cool what part? He said the whole thing. I said you mean the whole thing whole thing he said yeah the whole thing whole thing. Who does that these days?! He has the heart and mind required… for people at my level of chronic illness and complexity. It's not everyday you feel so deeply heard and seen (when you're a chronically Ill person). To boot, he actually no problem communicating with my other providers. I have recommended him to like 8 people and I have only gone to him 2x in a week. He's fantastic!
