Dr. Christopher Michael Oermann, MD

My children became patients of Dr. Oermann this year, as he was referred to us by their retiring pediatric pulmonologist. So far I’ve been impressed with his knowledge, and I’ve been dealing with pulmonologists most of my lifetime. He has a great personality from the moment he enters the exam room, seems to genuinely care about my kids' health, asks about & listens to the response regarding progress/changes to their condition. He provides instructions on their care going forward, and explains why he is making that change. He always asks if we have any questions, and spends the time to answer them.

Bedside manner is never too impressive, but when he is alone with a young female resident or two he is extra rude to the staff. I suppose to impress the young lady. Pathetic, especially for a children's hospital. Demonstrate some professionalism and compassion before you wind up with a lawsuit.

So sad that my grandson, who suffers with a fatal diagnoses had to suffer even more because this Dr. stood steadfast in his opinion of what was right for him over the child's caretakers repeated concerns that his son was suffering under his orders. It was confirmed by two other doctors that he was wrong.
