Dr. Christopher Paul Rocco, MD

I was in desperate need of a neurologist due to having chiari malformation type 1 and becoming more and more symptomatic. I spent the night before the apptwriting down everything I was experiencing and was fearful of a second stroke. He glanced barely at a list that took me hours to put on paper, he did his neurological exam which was don’t let me push you away and push towards him. Each time I touched him to do the exam he dropped his hands without even seeing if I could do the task. The he checked the reflexes in my knees and that was completely it. I am hemiplegic on one side and he didn’t even help me on the table that was waist high and had no stepping stool. That was three days ago and my lower back has been swollen since because I struggled so hard to get on the table as he stood watching with his arms folded. After the “exam” he informed me there was nothing he could do for me except put me on this drug I was on before and I explained that I cannot take that med because It puts… me at higher risk for another stroke as they believed it was that med that triggered my first one. He offered to do more scans but “don’t think it will make a difference. I asked why, he out of no where stated he would not give me pain meds. I stated that I never asked for any and to please read my list and see what he could help me with. He said he could not help with anything and that I had psychiatric issues to deal with. Talking about being blown away. I was crushed. He never took the time to hear me by mouth or by my problem list. He then turned and walked out. I may have been with him for 5-7 minutes but with that short time my anxiety, bp, and pain have been out of control. I will never let another dr of any kind make me feel like that ever again

Liked this Doctor a lot, he was very friendly, funny, seemed to care, quick at making good medical opions on the facts he got back from medical tests preformed.

I love. Dr. Rocco because he cares. How do I know he cares? Because he says so. Dr. Rocco shows compassion and is so patient with me. These are qualities rarely seen in a physician today.

Dr. Rocco has no bedside manner at all. Was pompous (at a time when a patient does not need nor deserve an attitude from a doctor) Was not aware my husband had Afib (was in records), when we informed him he was mistaken and patient did have a heart condition, he excused himself and came back and said he was putting husband on Pradaxa and Lipitor. Was basically a jerk. We will find another Neurologist, won't see this guy again. Would give him a -0- but rating starts at 1.

Every question that I asked he answered with "I don't know, that is up to God". If I wanted that answer, I would go to church and not a doctor. He also has no bedside manner and was in a hurry to get on to his next patient . Changed doctors and am much happier.

Very rude man! Not compassionate whatsoever. Very sad.

Took my husband to Dr. Rocco. At a consultation/appointment to read test ordered by family physician, Dr. Rocco spent FOUR MINUTES with us, and only addressed the test because I asked him about it as he attemtped to shoo us out the door. He prescribed a medication that my husband had told him he couldn't take (we didn't know until we picked it up, as Dr. handwriting and code is hard for the layperson to decipher). We canceled our follow-up, opting to go to another neurologist who actually took time to talk to the patient about the issue. For this not even five minute appointment, our insurance was billed $350. Only gave one star bevcause zero wasn't an option.

Dr Rocco was a very caring Dr who highly appeared to want better health for the patient. I definitely would recommend him.

This doctor really listens to your needs and is incredibly intelligent in his field. I would highly recommend him and his staff.

Dr. Rocco,Is an outsatnding doctor those that complain usally like to complain about everything. I am very happy to have this person as my health care provider. He listens to what I have to say and than takes action to correct the problem, He also addresses any concerns I may have to the best of his ability. In fact I am in better health since I started to see him..
