Dr. Christopher Sharad Saigal, MD

Having seen Dr. Saigal multiple times, I’ve come to a fairly easy conclusion that he is unprofessional, has poor communication skills and is always in a hurry. As a woman, I don’t feel comfortable being around him.

I do not recommend Dr. Saigal. I’ve been a patient of his since 2006. I had one minor urological issue (non bacterial prostatitis) and it’s come and gone over the years. I was never fond of his bedside manner. He’s condescending and dismissive. However I don’t really need to like my doctor as long as I’m getting proper treatment. There’s not a whole lot you can do for that condition. So he really didn’t have much room to make a mistake. In recent years, I’ve had a more serious urological issue. I have a blockage issue that requires a turp. He misdiagnosed me. I sought out a second opinion at Cedars. The Cedars doctor was correct in his diagnosis and proper testing confirmed his diagnosis. Please do yourself a favor and seek other care for urology. If you want to stay in the ucla network there are plenty of good urologists. Chris Saigal is not one of those.

Nearly after 18 years of visiting my previous physician, who retired, I visited Dr. Saigal for the first time in the middle of 2019 and was not impressed with his attitude and bed manner. Several weeks ago, I visited him again for issue that I needed his advise. Upon expressing my difficulties and without any examination, he advised me to see another physician for the same issue. My further research on my issue I realized that he did not diagnosed my issue, which is not getting better, and now have to look for another physician not associated with this group and affiliated with UCLA. It is a shame that a physician acted this way.

Very poor communication skills. Failed to discuss the neqative consequences of vaporization procedure and how it affects ejaculation. The literature indicates that 75% suffer from retrograde ejaculation. Had I become aware of these unintended consequences I would never have had the operation.

Dr. Saigal made my experience as pleasant as possible. I would recommend him without hesitation.

Seems to be a caring and knowledgeable medical professional. Straightforward and to the point. Nice office environment, professional staff/facilities. Takes the time to explain what's going on.

When some one comes in with a potentially serious problem involving their future sex life, you would think (and I get it, doctors don't know everything) a little more time and patience would be in order. A brusk summary of the facts, (there aren't many) and what to do about it, (not much you can that we know will help) left me feeling worse than when I came in. Doctor, look up Pyronie's disease on the web and see if a little better bed side manner would have been a little more compassionate.
