this Dr has performed multiple procedures on my neck and my lower spine He don't play game he tells you how it is he does not lie to you and that is why I trust him. If you want the best come see him and you will only hear the truth.

Disrespectful, gaslit me, no empathy. Woman don’t go.

Dr. Shields is a man with no manners. He is a hateful screaming man. He he would ask me questions but not let me respond he kept on interrupting me. He’s so blatantly rude and disrespectful that he actually screamed in my face. He is one of the worst doctors I’ve ever been to I would not send a rabbit dog for his care.

Was discharged from care due to complaining about excessive wait time for every visit, discharge had nothing to do with patient condition. Very unprofessional doctor, and staff falsified vitals all but 2 appointments, how can a proper assessment of the patient be made with fake vitals ?

Dr. Shields was rude, lacking in compassion, and was verbally abusive. He did not listen to what I was saying instead he interrupted me repeatedly. He started spewing out his opinion without learning the facts. I truthfully hope he never gets treated by a doctor like he treated me.

Avoid at all costs. Cannot speak to doctor after surgery and they are MEAN!

Wait was average. Doctor was great, listened to my issues, asked probing questions, gave diagnosis. Wants to discuss recommendations ASAP after further testing. Wish I would have seen him long ago. Retired Soldier.

It was believed I had a pinched nerve and, after an MRI, it was discovered I have Chiari Malformation that explains everyday symptom. I had my first appointment where no eye contact was made-it was as if he read straight from a paper. I didn’t feel heard whatsoever. A cineflow study was done and at my follow up he stated the Chiari was “just something I was born with” and diagnosed me with simple headaches. Based on responses from some support group members who saw him as well, we were ALL told the SAME things, given the SAME diagnosis and then subsequently referred to the SAME headache specialist. Now I am still in pain and discomfort and having to seek a second opinion from out of state.

We love Dr Shields. He did 2 surgeries on my husband. One was very extensive. He does excellent work and is very kind and listens to us. I would recommend him Highly

After driving 2 hours for appointment had to wait an additional 2 hours to see Dr. Shields. Rudest most condescending doctor I've ever met. After squeezing hands painfully he stated it didn't hurt me. He stated I don't know why you were referred here and just walked out of room without completing exam. I would not let this man operate on me if it was my last resort.
