Dr. Christopher John Smith, MD

I took my daughter to see Dr. Smith and he is a great doctor. He listened as we explained my daughter symptoms, gave suggestions on things we should do, followed up with us on test results and made us feel more at ease with what was going on with her. my daughter loves when we go see him and his staff.

Our child saw him and any time we had a question he negated them or blew us off. His office never followed up on test results. While we talked of our concerns, he typed away on his laptop. He never prepped for our appointment. WE had to tell him what he said/did the last time we were there.

This doctor cuts you off from speaking while he types on is laptop, looks at his text messages during your visit, doesn't engage in much conversation, as educated patients want to discuss facts. Comes across rude and uncaring.

Few things are as important to a parent as the health and well being of his or her child. This physician seems to understand that as well as any that I have met. Dr. Smith did his best not only to gather all of the facts on my son's health, he also took the time, patiently and thoughtfully, to respond to each and every question I had regarding my son's condition and prognosis. A week after our visit, he called me to check on my son's progress. The fact that he might run a few minutes late every now and then is likely a reflection of (a) the fact that so many parents want Dr. Smith to see their children and (b) the fact that he spends so much time responding to parents' questions. Good man. Exceptional physician.

My 16 year old daughter has been experiencing many different symptoms, a few were possibly GI related. She had appointments scheduled w/ rheumatoly, endo and GI. Dr. Smith happens to be the first of these doctors we have seen. After ordering blood tests & performing a colonoscopy and endoscopy, he was unable to find any GI problems that could explain my daughter's drastic weight loss, chronic constipation and abdominal pain. Instead of simply saying she didn't need a gastro doctor, he said she must have an eating disorder and needed psychiatric evaluation. He then added that he had seen girls die from losing this much weight. I had just finished telling him how upset she was about her recent weight loss. My poor daughter was in tears when he said this. I told him I was positive this was not an issue for her. I honestly don't think he heard anything we had told him during our two visits with him. I thought I had been very thorough explaining all her symptoms and all the other doctors… she was scheduled to see. Needless to say, I have never had such a terrible experience with a doctor or met one who was so cold!!

Great doctor and easy to talk to!

Dr Smith was very kind, and took the time to go over the little details. He was very good, and my family will be going back to see him.

Very thorough physician. Wait time in office was 20 minutes, but my son and I both appreciated the time Dr. Smith took with us. Gave us a detailed discussion regarding his impression and recommended studies. Will definitely be back.

I appreciate how thorough and caring Dr. Smith has been throughout my GI issues. He has worked hard to find out what was wrong and what treatment works best for me.
