Dr. Christopher Florian Stanke

While preparing for a colonoscopy by Dr Stanke, the nurse said I should tell doctor Stanke about my frequent nausea and need for Zofran, to keep from vomiting, before my procedure. When I did, he was extremely rude and told me I should “get over it!” He persisted with his verbal berating, and reiterated that I should ”get over it.” I have no idea where this came from or why. I have only seen him once, a year ago, and that was a brief visit. I was shocked and told him the nurse had said I should ask him about it and if he didn’t want to talk about it at that time, he could have simply asked me to make an appointment. I also told him that as a therapist, I never would have told a client to “get over it!” I will not return to him and I would not recommend him to anyone.

Had two visits with Dr. Stance, last one an endoscopy, unfortunately his diagnosis was not accurate. My PCP ordered further tests. Modified barium swallow showed large hiatal hernia with stomach coming up into rib cage when swallowing occurred. Delay in proper investigation caused weight loss and lack of proper nutrition and how to swallow properly.

In my experience, it isn't often that you are able to pinpoint times in your life that have a life changing impact on you. This is definitely one of those times, and I'm grateful that I was able to recognize it so easily. Dr. Stanke is the first doctor that has really taken the time to go over all of my symptoms, what I hoped to achieve from treatment and also offer options that weren't necessarily pharmaceutical in nature. While I understand that not every treatment works for every person, I was fortunate to hit the jackpot. The first options that I tried worked for me. My life has improved drastically. I no longer feel bound to my health issues. They are now more of a minor concern when going about my day, as opposed to the major factor in any planning. I attribute this completely to Dr. Stanke and his stellar care. I can't stress enough how much I appreciate the knowledge, care and compassion that I received from Dr. Stanke. Thank you again!

Dr. Stanke helped diagnose a disease that no one else in SE Milwaukee area could. I am very greatful to him.
