My appointment was a waist of time, and upsetting. He told me that anxiety/my mind is the cause of my shaking & twitching, chronic fatigue, weakness and near constant headaches, this diagnosis is rubbish. I went to him for a second opinion. I have done actual electronic testing that proves what I have going on by an MD, NOT me drawing circles and watching me walk a short distance. Without scientific proof ( he ordered no test ) and knowing me for 40 mins he made a total miss diagnosis that now is in my records. I am ex USAF, I held the same security clearance level as the President of the United States of America, I am trained as a Nuclear Weapons Specialist, he insulted me and his profession. If I could leave 0 stars, I would. Dr Way was totally unprepared for the appointment with my husband. My husband has been treated for Parkinson’s for the past 10 years and is on a regimen of drugs (that have been regularly increased over the years by two different neurologists) to manage his symptoms as well as having DBS surgery (at Stanford Medical Center). The appointment was to specifically address tuning my husband’s DBS. When the appointment was made we gave specific details as to the make, manufacturer and age of his controller, including it’s serial number. However, after waiting two months for the appointment, Dr Way did not have the proper equipment to interface with the controller and after a cursory exam of my husband, that lasted approximately 3 minutes, he had the audacity to question my husband’s diagnosis. He could not answer questions put to him and was arrogant and dismissive.
