Dr. Christopher Zarembinski, MD

A very nice man seem to listen to everything that I said. However things did not go well for me I had major back surgery. And had more pain than I yeah I've ever experienced before. I've had general surgeries in the past this one was way different! Everything went wrong except the actual surgery due to intense pain. Heart rate went sky high and was almost unmanageable! It was like that for weeks. I'm sure he is very good but in my case it didn't work out so well and will not use him again

Rudest doctor ever.

Dr. Chris Zarembinski performed two radio frequency ablations on my lower back for pain management and it did not work. I am still in a lot of pain. Look out when a doctor warns that ‘there is a percentage chance that RF may not work for some’. When I went to Dr. Zarembinski, he basically asks the patients “where you from” and “what is your favorite food”. Small talk avoiding issues. At a follow up visit, after two surgeries, he said he could do another procedure (a third one) called PRP which works better. So I asked why he did not tell me that to begin with. He said “because PRP is not covered by insurance”. The cost of PRP would have been less than Radio Frequency without insurance. After back and forth with billing department, I found out that if I had paid out of pocket for the radio frequency ablation with no insurance, my bill would have been affordable, but because I do have insurance, I ended up having to pay a 3X more deductible for a procedure that failed. Even though,… the hospital received 20x more from insurance. It was because of the insurance that he did two surgical procedures. Insurance covers one side at a time. I was not told in advance that I would have to go twice. I did not know that he would only do one side of the spine until basically being rolled in for first surgery. And I had specifically made it a point that I wanted everything before the New Year to avoid more hospital deductibles. The second surgery could not be done before the New Year, so another big hospital deductible for me. He also pushes anesthesiology for what can be numbed locally. For the first surgery I chose numbing to avoid large anesthesiology bill. Doctor Z made me very uncomfortable during the first surger with statements like “now you will feel a sharp pain”. He could have easily used the words like ‘bee sting’. So at the second surgery I agreed to full anesthesiology of which another huge bill.

He is the best doctor I have ever met and amazing bedside Manner and really caring Physician

I developed a chronic pain problem with my entire spine after having a profoundly debilitating Neuro condition that caused nerve and muscle damage. While Dr Z is a bit of an "odd duck" in personality, I have no complaints as to his technical skills with administering Nerve blocks and especially Nerve Ablation (aka destruction) procedures to help me make it thru the days and nights without having reach for powerfully strong narcotic pain medication. He will NOT do any Peer to Peer phone calls with Insurers though and that IS a big problem for me as the patient. I had to coerce him into doing so x1, something that he absolutely HATES to do because it always ends up in a phone argument according to him. If not for that, I would rate him a 4 hands down.

Dr. Z took my pain away with no complications. I had cervical stenosis and as soon as I got the injection I was pain free. He really cares about his patients and took his time. I never felt rushed. I'm a RN and know not all are the same. Dr. Z is a wonderful person.

Dr Zarembinski is the least caring "physician" I have personally experienced. He is behaviour towards both patients and nurses is atrocious, rude and abusive. He swore at both the nurse and the patient during an appointment, gave cursory answers, assumed that the patient and advocate were ignorant. He attempted to speak over the concerns of the patient and patient advocate, and he accused other doctors with in the same office of mismanaging the patient's care. Be warned. Do not see this so-called physician. He is arrogant and self-serving and is not fit to see patients.
