Dr. Christopher Joseph Zub, DO

He's not a Doctor...He's a... The worst. I needed to see him because my throat was inflamed. He came in the room and said you need to see an ear, nose and throat. I said just look down my throat I clearly have an infection. HE REFUSED to look down my throat. He said, 'I can't see down your throat.' I asked again for him to look down my throat, he put his light on his phone and said open up and instead of looking down my throat he turned and waved his phone in the air and said, see nothing. I was in there 1:27. I went to the Mayo for an apt two days later, the doctor said I sounded hoarse. She looked down my throat and prescribed me a z pack which did the trick. I then read his notes and found THREE LIES. He said he examined the bottom of my feet. LIE. This man never even felt the throat for swollen glands, he did an arch in the air. I have called my provider and told them about him and Walgreens also told me they have heard many complaints about him. He's not a doctor, he's a money… man.

Arrogant and condescending, poor bedside manner. Doesn't like patient questions. Simply put, not a good first encounter.

This is specifically a review for Dr. Zub , and not a reflection on the nurses or staff, who were all wonderful. I left this office feeling so awful that I feel compelled to warn anyone who might be considering this doctor. My visit with him was the worst experience I have ever had with a medical professional . It took me months to secure this appointment. I put so much time and effort into my own medical journal so that I was prepared for the visit . I was genuinely excited and grateful to finally be getting some help. All of my good feelings and effort were completely wasted on this doctor and I left in tears , and feeling hopeless. Upon entering the room , he quickly shook my hand , sat down at his computer and asked me why I was there . As I started to explain my concerns , and consult my medical journal, he cut me off and said let’s focus on “3 things” only. I said ok and started to discuss and try to decide which three things I thought would be the most important. My situation… is complex and interconnected, so it was hard to only discuss three things . If I veered from that subject he would rudely interrupt and make it clear he wouldn’t be discussing anything further . He stared at his computer the entire time , never making eye contact or asking any questions except to curtly ask medical history . But not in the way as to understand my situation or concerns . It felt like I was making a police report . He was clearly annoyed that I had a notebook with my concerns written down , as if he assumed I was going to overwhelm him with needless information. I felt written off before I even started . I have a myriad of medical concerns , however I also suffer from anxiety . I am very aware of my anxiety and am not ashamed to discuss it . It does not change the fact that I have real physiological problems ,that need to be addressed. Dr. Zub clearly wrote me off as just being “anxious” and completely ignored / showed no concern for the very real problems I was having . He was extremely condescending and absolutely the rudest person I have ever met. That’s a hard title to earn . Our visit lasted … maybe 7-10 minutes? His only exam was extremely brief . He listened to my lungs , and quickly pushed on my stomach while simultaneously declaring “no stomach pain” . Not actually caring enough to ask me if I felt any pain . He couldn’t get me out of there fast enough . I also need to see a dermatologist, I tried to discuss that with him and he quickly cut me off and said “we are only talking about three things , remember ? “ I then had to repeat myself and explain to him that the only way I could visit a dermatologist is to get a referral from him because that is what my insurance requires . I simply just needed a phone call or an email , such a brief and simple amount of effort from him , yet he was so rudely adamant that he would only be discussing those three things . This is not the kind of care that ANYONE deserves. I felt like just another claim , and on top of that I felt despised and that he was disgusted with my very presence . For what reason ? Who deserves this ? I only wanted to get some help , and I left feeling like I never want to put in the effort to see a doctor again . At the very end he shoved a piece of paper in my hand and gestured for me to head to the outtake desk . While talking to the nurse there I was in such shock that I froze filling out my paperwork . I couldn’t physically write because I was so upset and hurt by my experience. She even asked if I was ok because it was clear I was in distress. I desperately needed the tests that had been ordered and was thinking about how hard I had worked to get to that point .I am not a confrontational person and generally let these kind of things go , but this was so bad I couldn’t stomach not saying something. I looked up from my paperwork and told her all of this . And then I walked down the hall and told the doctor the same to his face . The same as I am tellin

Very poor communication/listening skills. He is arrogant and condescending.

Rant! I was a new patient at Flagler family medicine as I was referred by another Dr. I have been having serious issues after having covid two years ago. I noticed my eye was bulging bigger than the other so went to an eye specialist who told me to have this new physician do a scan as this looked and tested very abnormal. I went to Flagler family medicine and was appointed to Dr Christopher Zub as my primary physician. I wrote down my concerns so not to forget as my memory has not been very good. He came into the room and from the get go started speaking to me like a child, I'm 57. He wouldn't listen to anything I had to say at all and kept speaking down to me, he pushed the notes away I tried to give him of my ailments and said I don't want to see that in such a demeaning manner, totally narcissistic attitude the entire time in the room with him. I asked for a brain scan as I've had so much pressure in my head as well as what the eye Dr said. His reply to me was: What do you think… we just scan your whole body because you ask... I replied, I didn't ask for a whole body scan, only my brain and eye as I was told I should have. He then proceeded to ask me in a rude manner if I even work, I was totally thrown by this. What does that have to do with anything, as I have coverage. So I ended up going to a neurologist who agreed I needed a MRI of brain sinuses and eye. Results came back to show I have water surrounding my brain and need a spinal tap right away. intracranial hypertension/pseudotumor cerebri. I was called by the office manager at Dr Zubs office at Flagler family medicine to ask how my visit there was so I proceeded to tell her how awful and demeaning he was and I'd like my records sent to another Dr in the practice as this is very important right now with all this going on. She called me back today and said Christopher Zub will not release my records to another Dr there and he also put that I'm not allowed to come to that practice any longer, and to pick up my records. Now mind you, I never said anything to this Dr and just took the beating in that exam room because I knew I needed help. I rode home in such anxiety and anger that day it knocked me out for the entire day. Now he knows as he received my nerologist MRI results that I'm in bad condition right now with this fluid around my brain and tells me to go find another Dr because he's part owner of Flagler family medicine and has the right to refuse me to see any Dr there. I'm livid at this point this morning. Dealing with all this and the pounding headaches from the fluid. What kind of caring Dr would do such a thing to a patient in this state? His staff was appalled and embarrassed to have to tell me this, they were wonderful and couldn't apologize enough and even went onto say, they completely get it and we're so sorry he treated me this way but have seen this before with him. I've never in my life heard of such craziness. At a time I should be calm, I'm now scrambling to find a good primary physician as I go for my spinal tap Friday. Any recommendations, suggestions would be so greatly appreciated. My mind is in a fog right now and this is certainly not helping. I suggest not going to this awful awful man. I honestly thought he was on some sort of adrenaline drug, because it was just such a very odd, rude, hyper appt with him.

Folks - this doctor is horrible and just in the business for the money. RUN!

My son's doctor wasn't avaliable but we were able to get an apointment with Dr. Zub. I'm not sure if he was already having a bad day at 7:40am or he doesn't know how to separate his personal life from work, but my son's visit was horribly uncomfortable. Dr. Zub was extremely argumentative, difficult to conversate with, lacked empathy, and came across as judge mental. He was very short, condescending, and had a belittling manner when he spoke. I would not recommend him unless you enjoy being talked down to like you're a complete idiot. Not impressed and feel Flagler Family Medicine should definitely re-evaluate his behaviors to avoid tarnishing their positive reputation, further embarrassment, or a possible lawsuit.

I'm a new patient and Dr. Zub was wonderful, he really went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable!

Dr. Zubs bedside manner is personal with a small town feel paired with the experience and knowledge you would expect at a major hospital. I would highly recommend him!

Always very easy to get an appointment. The front desk staff is great!
