Dr. Cindee Joy Ivker, MD

Dr. Ivkar has been my daughter's pediatrician for over eight years. She has always responded promptly, especially during some critical times, providing sound advice and referrals where needed. I would recommend her to others

I had poor experiences with Dr. Ivker as a teenager. I suffered from severe menstruation problems starting at age 14 that Dr. Ivker completely brushed off and told me were normal. It was life-changing to finally see a gynecologist when I was 18 and get proper treatment. I am also very disappointed that I received my HPV vaccinations way too late. I was offered the vaccines many times, but my mother said she didn't want me to receive them despite me wanting it, and Dr. Ivker just shrugged and went along with that for years, not taking my wishes into account and making no attempt to explain to my mom why the shots are important. I didn't get the shots until years later after I was already sexually active, which greatly reduces the effectiveness. I also began using drugs as a teen and tried being honest with Dr. Ivker about this. She was very judgemental towards me and just chastised me rather than trying to help me actually manage risks. This experience made me lie about my drug use at… future visits, which luckily me for ended fine but could have gone much worse. I had good experiences with Dr. Ivker as a young child, and I am very disappointed about the way I was treated as a teen.

Dr. Cindee Ivker has been my children's pediatrician for the past 20 years. She has always been there when my kids have needed medical care and has always been quality care. Would definitely recommend her to other mothers.

I wish I could rate 0. She is the worst doctor I have ever met. When I made that appointment, I told her office the reason why I need to make this appointment is to get some vaccine-chicken pox and MMR before an international trip. But when I got her office, she told me she cannot give my DD any vaccine. I cancelled an very important meeting because of this appointment. I understand that there may be some policy. But, they set up this time for me, and even no one "sorry" when she told me she cannot do that. Who knows any law for her department? The major reason she made me very uncomfortable was what her face was telling me that "it is not our business".
