Dr. Cindy S Wright, DO

I have had major depression complicated by many failed back surgeries, so that the pain and depression fuel each other. I have been to nearly a dozen psychiatrists and psychologists over the years. I had given up because only my primary care Dr found any meds that gave me relief. Well, I needed a change in meds or something because my depression was far from under control and I was barely functional. I made an appointment with the first Psychiatrist I found online, just randomly it was Dr. Wright. I read reviews and considered canceling. I am so glad I did not. I will address what I read: her bedside manner. She is very caring and gentle with you when you are not in a good state of mind. But, she does demand you take what she prescribes as she prescribes it and expects the same of any other meds you are on from other doctors. She really takes a more holistic approach than just treating a symptom or two. Her rude office staff: this is ironic because she uses Skype and currently has… no office staff. Al I know is she has drastically helped me and not done so in a radical way where I feel like a test dummy as I have at other places. She is heads and shoulders above others I have seen. I won't mention them as they are the types who would threaten a lawsuit, but I have done ETC's (literally put you out and induce a mild seizure with electricity), I have been on every narcotic associated with depression at doses that would cause a horse to pass out or run crazy and simply been told I was fine and get back to my job. If you are simply looking for legal drugs to get high, keep on Dr shopping. She will not do it and you do not need to be dependent on a daily cocktail that would have made Elvis say, "You need to slow down on that stuff." If you want a Dr who will work towards your ultimate mental health, give her a try 100%. I will say that not every Dr meets the needs of every patient in this arena especially. I will promise you she will give you her best shot. And whoever wrote that she is in it for the money, that is laughable. Very few are and I have only come across one, who I would LOVE to name, but he is the most vindictive person I have ever met. Last name rhymes with blah, is all I will say. If you really want to recover, are willing to follow dr's orders and let her decide the meds you need, look no further. If certain meds have not worked, she is VERY receptive to that. Keep in mind, reviewers happy with her probably have a fear of being doxed as having mental illness. Critical reviews may be because the Xanax bars were not part of her treatment. I don't know. I know she helps me a ton!!!!!!

Dr Cindy Wright is only interested in money. She charged me and my insurance for psychotherapy that was never given. She prescribed 3 different antidepressants at the same time and yelled at me during one of my office visits. She pushed and pushed for me to take a DNA test to determine what mediations would work. This test was over $5K. Do not seek help from Cindy Wright because you will not get it.

This woman says she's a psychiatrist. Yet she is not board certified in psychiatry. Where did she attend school for psychiatry? It's only about the money for her. She doesn't even listen.

Doesn't care about her patients. Eextremely judgemental. Only cares for the money. Went for 10 minutes today to have her yell at me, literally, when I said I wouldn't go see her daughter as a counselor and I told her I didn't like the side effects of the meds she prescribed. I was Very calm today. I have no idea What "attitude" she was implying as I didn't raise my voice like her. Told her I didn't trust her commitment to my treatment and wouldn't be coming back and she said "Good! I want my $120" after 10 minutes. Asked her if she was always so easily offended and she yelled even more. Never in my life have I experienced such an uncaring and unprofessional psych. Please don't waste your time. There's a reason her reviews are so bad.

Spent a lot of time with me to figure out my problem and what to do about it.

This "DO" did not have a clue about bi polar disorder or chronic pain management. Instead decided to indicate she felt I was a cocaine addict because I couldn't keep my eyes open when she put this light in my face. I get migraines from bright lights. Then said I was an alcoholic because my hands shake from stress!!!I am a nursing student & she didn't even know how to palpatate, check my heart rate (she literally made up a low number, @ that point I know it was very high) or listen to my lungs!!!!!!REALLY?????
