Dr. Clare Hope Whipple, MD

I left 1 star but didn't even get a visit! Remember when you use to get sick with cold, the flu (now covid) and you would call your doctor and they would get you in for a sick visit and make you feel better with tests and medications? Well apparently my doctor doesn't do that anymore. After spending an agonizing night of cold and flu symptoms, I called my physician. I was immediately put on hold for over 22 minutes. (You are in que 3 you are in que 2 you are in que 1 for over 20 minutes I was "praying" one of the nurses would pick up the phone. I didn't have much strength to hold on much longer. I was pretty nauseous too. Well finally a nurse did answer. Only to tell me it sounds like I'm sick. BUT they would not be taking any appointments today. [It was 10:30 a.m.) What? Wait? Ha? My doctor won't see me? I'm not going to go any further with the exchange or lack of empathy. I did tell her I would be looking for a new doctor. I crawled out of bed litterly crying with aches and pains all… over. I took myself to the E.R. and diagnosed with The Flu. That visit should cost thousands now, right? I'm not kidding. Bloodwork, meds, etc. Now I remember years ago we were advised NOT to use E.R for this. Costs are exorbitant. How times have changed! I just know now "don't get sick, " because even your doctor doesn't care anymore. That's exactly how I felt!

Dr. Whipple has been my primary care physician for two years. Clinically trained to care for breast cancer patients and makes recommendations where necessary. She is always prepared, timely and very thorough. She provides my care in tandem with my medical oncologist. Great team!
