Dr. Clarence E Ballenger III, MD

I have been a patient of Dr.Ballenger since around 2000. I have MS , Together we decided to work on my symptoms and hold off on treating my MS until I absolutely have to...It hasn't been an easy road to travel , but Clancy ( dr.ballenger ) has and is always there for me , if a medication is too strong he will tweak it. too weak , tweak it , he keeps in close touch with my primary doctor who takes care of my meds. On monthly basis as both doctors agree that I don't need to drive the distance to see Clancy unless i am having issues....UNLIKE most comments I have read here today , I have no issues with Clancy , he is a good old boy and he does not treat you as if you are beneath him , I have been in waiting room and heard him tell his girls that due to patient not having money ' do not charge patient in room so &so , he never mentions a name ...I am thankful for dr.ballenger and his staff .

He prescribed a totally inappropriate medication for my mother's condition and ordered the wrong tests to determine her condition. He violated HIPPA laws by leaving the doors to the examining rooms open while discussing the patient's medical issues. Totally inappropriate and unprofessional. I had to take my mother to another neurologist to receive the proper tests and diagnosis.

does anyone know how to get my records

I’m left with more issues than I came with. Yelled and interrogated by his wife and staff being used to b the doctor along with deadly overprescribes of medication leaving you blacked out which shouldn’t even be taken together but they still feared ya like crap and still don’t know what’s wrong as every visit u had to remind the doctor of your illness only for him to flip the papers and neglect what’s important. I am damaged from his incompetence

I waited over an hr after my appt to get called back, just tell him what meds i had choosen to be put on to for my ms. I saw him less then 5 mins in which case he did most of the talking before quickly leaving the room. It was then left to the nurse to help me fill out the paperwork for my new meds. Even that was explained to me quickly. And might I add he never has a pen on him.

I am a migraine sufferer,I was told to take medicine that could lead to abortion if I got pregnant, I begged him to not give me that medicine, he told me if I was that worried about it I should take a morning after pill and tell my husband to "be careful".I told him my mother had taken the same medicine before and if had poor results, I wanted to stick with medication I was comfortable with, he refused and insisted I take what he prescribed.He tried leaving the room 4 times when I still had questions.I was there for over 2 hours and only spent 15 minutes talking to him.I will not be going back to this office, and would not recommend anyone else to go.
