I met with Dr. Joyner for an evaluation. She came across as very judgmental and not compassionate. She basically just pointed out how broken I was and told me I needed to get into a partial hospital program (when I didn't even have insurance) and didn't even discuss what she'd be able to do for me with medications. Didn't even touch on the topic. Didn't advise me on a follow-up or what I should do. Left feeling stupid and broken and very confused. She also wrote down the wrong diagnostic code on my invoice which really worried me. I had to consult with others on the matter and then she finally admitted that she messed up the code. I quickly started looking for a new psychiatrist as I had no intention on seeing her again!

I have known Dr. Joyner for over 10 years and have appreciated her calm and caring attention. She listens with compassion and works with me to create a plan of care that has worked very well! I have referred several friends and family to her for treatment.

Dr. Joyner is the best. She listens, she offers direction, she lets you make up your own mind, and most of all she focuses on you when you are with her.
