Dr. Claudia Kathleen Knight, DO

All the providers at Alive have made me feel rushed, but the others do a good job of balancing efficiency with tact and empathy. Dr. Knight lacks tact and due diligence. She was running very late, so her shaming was even more abrasive than the last time I saw her. I’m addition to a whole lot of shaming during my annual exam, she sternly recommended a whole diet change without consideration of past disordered eating, asking about my current diet (which is balanced and very healthy), or recommending that I see a dietary professional. At the end, I asked some questions that I had been waiting to ask for this appointment, and she could not have made it more clear that she thought my question was a waste of her time. I do not recommend Dr. Knight unless you are perfect.

I had my annual women's exam with Dr. Knight. She was knowledgeable and I liked that she prescribed dietary supplements in addition to standard care. However, I found her overall approach insensitive. She dismissed a serious concern that I was having, telling me it was nothing (even though it is not). She also shamed me for my Covid-related safety precautions, telling me that I was overreacting. I will not be seeing Dr. Knight again.
