I have not had the unfortunate pleasure of meeting with this provider, but I have some very important people in my life who have. In both appointments, he told them that they were too fat for surgery. He made a remark about the insurance while telling them they could look for another surgeon to do help them. Both of these individuals have to walk with walkers/canes as the pain is unbearable most days.

I saw Dr. Clay Canaday approximately one year ago because I had been experiencing chronic knee pain and hip discomfort. I chose him because I wanted to speak to an orthopedic specialist after having undergone physical therapy with no improvements. I suspected that my knee pain may be a result of hip dysfunction and described my symptoms to him in detail. He responded in a condescending and presumptuous manner, ultimately prescribing that I simply reduce my activity level and not perform exercises that aggravate my symptoms. After consulting with another doctor, I discovered that I had Femoroacetabular Impingement with large labral tears on both hips. This diagnosis may have been obvious with a little as X-ray imaging, but he dismissed my concerns entirely. If you are reading this review to decide if Clay Canaday may be the right doctor for you, then I ask you to reconsider for your own benefit.
