Dr. Clay David Miller, MD

Dr. spent less than 5 minutes with me. I had to go see him to hear his take on test results and I couldn’t get a PT order without seeing him for this appt. He barely glanced at MRI results. He lacks compassion, is brusque and condescending. Seems to be most interested in getting you back in the office for follow ups. No thanks.

I was very disappointed over the cold treatment I received from this Dr. He barely said a word to me, talked over me to his assistant about back ordered items. Never said anything to put me at ease other than to abruptly tell me to relax my leg. I was in a lot of pain due to my hip and having a cortisone shot. Expected him to tell me a little about what was going on and what I would feel. The nurse was very kind, and very informative, but not a word from this man. I have used so many Dr.s in that practice and I am always very happy with the warmth and information I received but this experience made me very nervous about using him again!

I had a very similar experience to another commenter. I was a few minutes early for my appointment and I had to wait for an hour and 15 minutes while I watched and heard other patients be taken before me. I heard them say at the desk that their appointments were scheduled after mine. I was getting a cortisone shot in my hip which is a very nerve wrecking procedure and having to wait so long did not help calm my nerves. Once I was FINALLY called, I entered the room and the assistant was nice but very quiet. Since the procedure was being done on my hip I had to remove my pants, but I was covered with a cloth as best they could, still pretty exposed in the lower lady area. While I was laying there waiting, a doctor came in to ask the assistant a question about another patient and left the door OPEN!! to the hallway while I was laying there exposed. He left and I assumed he wasn't my doctor. He came back a few minutes later to do the procedure and left the door open again!! I was feeling… very uncomfortable and nervous at this point when I was about to get a painful procedure done. He didn't say a word to me and began the procedure. I was clearly in pain when the needle was being utilized and he still did not say a word to me, making me feel very uncomfortable. The only words he said to me were "This will begin to work in 2-5 days" and then left the room... again with the door open. I truly have to say this was the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. I was very disappointed because I do love my other doctor at Sports Medicine North.

Just had a cortisone shot in my hip today by Dr. Miller. Waited an hour and 20 minutes for a 3 minute shot. I really did not mind waiting, but was annoyed when the Dr. did not have any interest in me at all when he came in the room. The assistant Tina was very nice. When Dr. Miller finally came into the room, he was quick and didn't really talk to me at all. When his assistant asked him to read the notes from the Dr. who sent me, which is in his office as well, he brushed it off and just told her to get him his gloves. She then tried to tell him my issue and ask him some questions and he did not want to be bothered and gave her one word answers. Obviously, he was in a hurry to get back to his other patient, who he was doing an EMG on, but at least pretend you have an interest in the patient you are working on!!

I was very disappointed with the treatment I got from Dr. Miller. He is a very detached doctor. He checks your bone density score and then goes directly to prescribing medicine. He says he has a holistic approach but after asking him about many different ways that I could improve my osteoporosis diagnosis... weight training, walking, yoga, supplements--- he would only offer medication. I was appalled a year ago when after taking a bone density test, I asked Dr. Miller why I had to come into his office to get the results. I asked if he might be able to call me with them. He said and I quote, "I'm not an attorney... I can't bill for a telephone call." I was shocked and really didn't know how to answer... except for "I guess it's all about the money." I don't remember his answering me. When the Prolia he prescribed did little for my condition,, he was absolutely insistent that I move to a daily injection... Forteo by Lily pharmaceuticals. I was wary of the drug and asked about side… effects. He stated that there were very few... mainly some bone pain as the bone grew and said that other side effects he had never seen. He did explain that the drug could only be taken for 2 years because it had caused bone caner in rats. But that wasn't going to happen to me. I was very wary... but it seemed like my only option... it was a united push by both the doctor and the nurse for me tto start the medicine that day. After 12 days of daily injection.of Forteo, I found my self retaining water, becoming weak, having headaches and seeing white blobby lights in my eyes.I called my primary care doctor and was directed to the emergency room. It was discovered that I had developed a very bad case of hyper calceum- a known side effect of Forteo. I was hospitalized for 3 days and my primary care doctor and hospital doctor of course told me NO MORE FORTEO. I called Miller's nurse to tell her what happened but never heard from Dr. Miller. I didn't expect a call.. he wouldn't be able to bill me for it. I plan to see an endocrinologist... one who will entertain not only a medical perspective but a holistic one as well and one who will respect me as a patient.

dismissed my concerns about metastasis of my bc, and spent all of 3 minutes with me. It was obvious he hadn't read my mri, as he basically read the report quickly and then told me i had arthritis.

Not a good dr sent me for injections and seems like he doesn't even care about patients

Dr. Miller has helped a couple of my family members. My mom with her knees and my sister with her neck. He is very caring and follows up to make sure everything is working out. He has a wonderful bedside manner and is a very smart Doctor.

Dr. Miller is treating my moms knees and I find him to be very caring. He carefully explains his plan of care and has a great bedside manner. Very good doctor!!!

Dr. Clay Miller's treatment for my Knee has been one of my best doctor office experiences in my life. Pain was always my huge complain, he carefully examined my both knee and solve the problem with perfect treatment. Thank you!
