Dr. Clifford Paul Rhodes, MD

This man is completely unprofessional and rude. Regardless of his “42 years of experience”, he has no business treating people. I’ve never been treated so poorly by a physician. I was disgusted and appalled at his approach to ‘patient care’. His practices are boredrine unethical. To be honest I’m not sure why he is still practicing medicine. He is also misogynistic and seems to hate women. I would not recommend him to anyone I know, unless I wanted them to have a bad experience. You would be better off seeing a cactus.

This guy should have chosen a different profession--very rude to patients--poor "bedside manner" I will find a new eye Dr.

This guy is the absolute worst Doctor there is on Maui, period! He will not acknowledge you ever. Don't say hello to him or even try to shake his hand. He won't do it! He's a prima Donna with a serious case of the God complex. I urge everyone to not have anything to do with this guy. You will seriously regret it if you do!!!!!!!

Inappropriate comments.

At first when I saw Dr. Rhodes' smiling face in this picture, I thought it was a different doctor than the one I saw. The one I saw never smiled. He was always very cold, and not very welcoming at all. The staff used to be pretty friendly, but I think they have been around him for too long, as they are catching his "hardness" in the last year or so. He is a good eye doctor, but has no bedside manner or office manner at all. It has become very unpleasant to continue to go here, so I have found a new eye doctor that welcomes me and my money.

This doctor is very rude and doesn't like patients to ask him questions. He doesn't even acknowledge the patients when he first sees them. The wait time is terrible. I had to wait for more than 2 hours before my appointment was finally done.
