So, I recently found out I'm pregnant. Baby #4 was very unexpected and definitely unplanned with me being in my 40's, my oldest two children are adults, and my youngest is 13. Dr. Henson was my doctor with all three of my children so there was no doubt in my mind I would be going back for this pregnancy. I made it to my first appointment still in shock and scared. Dr. Henson has such a huge heart and an amazing bedside manner. He quickly put me at ease, as he has done many times in the past. My first pregnancy was very difficult with 10 weeks spent on complete bedrest. Dr. Henson kept a first time super anxious mommy at ease during that time and did everything medically possible to keep my son in until he was full term. I remember tears rolling down his face as he was sewing me up after my son was delivered. One of his comments was, "Doesn't this make you want to have 10 more? There's nothing more amazing or beautiful than childbirth and I'm so happy I was able to help you … through a difficult pregnancy and we were able to get this perfectly beautiful end result". I knew I loved this doctor right then and there and that I would never go to another. Second pregnancy was a breeze until time to deliver when my daughter decided to do a complete flip and come out really fast feet first. A super quick and safe delivery came via C-section, but I trusted his judgement to quickly make that call and get it done even quicker. About an hour later, HE walked into the recovery room with my baby to tell me she had a minor birth defect, but he personally knew a doctor at ACH that works with cleft affected children and he would personally call and get my baby in that week. He did! He sat beside me to explain her medical situation and to assure me that all would be fine with a little extra medical intervention. He has such a calm and soothing personality and genuinely cares about you and your baby. Easy pregnancy with third child. He allowed me to try for a V-BAC with her, but told me that if there was any sign of complications I would have to have a c-section. He stayed with me pretty much from the time I arrived in labor until I delivered (which was just a few hours) to ensure she came safely. I can't say enough about this man as a doctor and as a person. The only thing I have ever heard negative about him was from a couple women I know well that did not like him because he touches you when he speaks to you. They are both good friends, but both are what I call non-touch people. Lol. I'm a touchy feely person myself so Dr. Henson giving me a hug or placing his hand soothingly on my shoulder or knee when he spoke to me, especially when he was reassuring me about a situation, is what I actually want and expect from a doctor. There is absolutely nothing more to it than he is one of the kindest, most compassionate doctors in the world who truly cares about you and the baby you are carrying. He has such a beautiful soul and bedside manner. I wouldn't trust any other doctor to care for me and my baby.

Dr. Henson is very personable. He puts you right at ease, even when you first meet him. He makes you feel like you are a good friend that he has known for years. He really listens to your questions and concerns. I actually look forward to my appointments with Dr. Henson!

Dr. Henson seemed unwilling to listen to my concerns about the baby. It's safety and gave me vague information and seemed annoyed when I questioned him. I would NEVER reccomend anyone going to him.

He delivered 2 of my children, my niece and 1 grandchild. I recommend him to everyone. My daughter is expecting again and she is very pleased with the care she receives. Because of his experience he was able to use a technique with my second baby that kept me from having a c section. He is very professional and I believe he truly cares for his patients.

Dr. Henson delivered not only myself, but my brother and sister also. He has been the only gynecologist that I have used and he is fabulous. When I start having my own children, he will without a doing be the doctor that I use.

He is the best doctor I've ever seen. He's caring, compassionate, nice, he's the only doctor I will go to if I get pregnant.

He is such a jerk, rude, he would be great to work in the mourge. Not a nice person at all!!!

Very courteous, caring, respectful and concerned, Not rushing through with a facade of politeness, but a thoughtful and professional physician in the best sense. If only all doctors had this genuinely sincere demeanor and integrity.The staff are also very likeable and courteous....a very well run office.Thanks from a patient who expects polite professionalism and is very very pleased!
