At my last & final appointment, he said "I had to talk you into an an ankle replacement" vs the fusion I went to him for. It's as painful as before surgery & requires forever after visits, which he neglected to mention BEFORE surgery. He actually said to me at that appointment, "We're bff's forever now." He billed my insurance $198,800 for outpatient replacement surgery which is failing. It did not relieve the intense pain I have, still. Dr. Google says outpatient ankle fusions in the Miami area are estimated at $20,000. Guess I know why he had to "talk me into a… replacement." It had nothing to do with my needs or the outcome for me. I was just a dollar sign used to generate continued revenue for him & the hospital. Yeah, I'm that upset & disappointed in him. Every time I can't sleep or do something like WALK because of the pain, I'll write another review. Definitely not worth the past 9 months. Not even a little bit.This isn't a medical profession. It's a medical business. Shame on you Dr. Woods, for not dealing with your staff & practices' problems. I wish I had gone elsewhere, as I'm sure you do as well. Just remember, you did this to me. I did not do it to you

He's cool. But his office staff aren't. They do not return phone calls or email that the scheduling office can see have been acknowledged by his staff. It took 4 messages & 1 email over 4 weeks to get a question answered. The paperwork screwups at the start should've been a red flag. But I had liked Dr. Woods. If you google all his reviews, you'll see the same issues I've had. Because of his MA/'nurse' or whomever doesn't return messages, I wish I had listened to my gut after the very 1st visit when the office messed up a CT requisition, sending it to a company he had just told me in person 15 minutes before he did not want me to use. His office argued that point with me, believe it or not. He made some excuse about a new call center but previous reviews also mention this problem. The call center is not new, apparently. So, I'd recommend Dr. Woods if it wasn't for his office staff. But I cannot, even though I liked him. If you not worried about insurance & paperwork screwups… or NEVER being able to reach him, Dr. Woods & his staff are waiting for you. I truly wish I had had my ankle replaced somewhere else with a professional office staff. They billed my insurance $198,800 for outpatient ankle replacement surgery that is not healing well. I think there should be higher standards for this kind of ridiculous bill.

He is an amazing doctor; he goes above and beyond to care for me

Dr. Clive Woods is an excellent doctor. He took his time with me in the exam and explained everything so I could understand. He went above and beyond to make sure I had all the information I needed for my condition

Dr. Woods did a full tendon repair on my left foot. He has fantastic bedside manner, ingratiating personality and he's a top-notch orthopedic surgeon. I don't usually leave reviews but my experience with Dr. Woods has been so good I wanted to let others who are doing their research know. A+ experience!!!

I saw Dr woods at least 6 times. He sent me for mri’s and an emg at a neurologist. He said maybe I should get a second opinion because he had no idea what was causing my foot pain in both feet. I got a second opinion and then called to see Dr woods because my toe began to hurt which was a new issue. After writing in his notes if I had questions to please call for an appointment. I tried and he refused to see me. Three weeks later I got a Certified letter stating he is not going to be my orthopedic physician any longer. I was in shock. No explanation. I am in the healthcare field myself and all I can say the office staff and him I would not send my dog too. Very unprofessional and incompetent

EXCELLENT ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON. VERY SATISFIED WITH SURGICAL SKILLS. DR WOODS IS KNOWLEDGEABLE AND INFORMATIVE. HE IS CARING AND COMPASSIONETE .EXPLAINED IN SIMPLE TO UNDERSTAND TERMS THE PROCEDURE PERFORMED. EXPLAINED WHAT TO ANTICIPATE IN THE RECOVERY PERIOD WAS IN DETAIL.

Dr. Woods is amazing! I adore him. His staff is horrible, they never sent my records to the Mayo clinic, never sent my MRI script (I had to drive from east Boynton with my foot in a boot, 1 hour in order for them to hand me my MRI script which, "they never do". They gave me a script for PT, which was for the wrong foot, and had the wrong insurance on it, again I needed them to correct and fax to me, so that I could bring to PT. It's sad, because Dr. Woods is amazing, but I will be finding another ortho because the office is negligent and intolerable. Plus to drive an hour only to deal with them is so irritating that it's self abuse to even go.
