Dr. Clyde Toone Carpenter, MD

I have had Dr Carpenter as my doctor for over two years due a spine injury from a fall! I had surgery on Aug 2, 2021! Dr Carpenter is the best of the best to have for spine surgery! I had a curvature of my spine as well as many other problems in my lower spine to the middle of my spine! I now have all new parts which include discs and spacers, fusion of my spine, and numerous other things that were fixed besides! The list is long and too many to list all of my parts. and I am feeling better every day! I am also 3 inches taller again now and stand straight up instead of my leaning on my right side side which was so painful for me! Dr Carpenter is the most caring doctor anyone could ask for! I am so very blessed that he was my Doctor and Surgeon before he retires at the end of this month! When I had my first post op appointment it was a celebration appointment with all the happiness of my surgery a job well done and I sat straight up which was a huge change from how bad I was for the… two years previously! I received injections from Dr Taylor during that time which helped me for quite a while but after that I went down hill and leaned more than ever! Dr Carpenter said it was a very extensive surgery he had to do! My recovery from this surgery will take quite a while.The pain I have now is not as bad as the pain I had before surgery! There are not enough words but Thank You! Dr Carpenter for fixing my spine and seeing and feeling the difference from before till now is tremendous! You have what it takes Dr. Carpenter to help people like me to have a better life after my surgery. I thought I would have to live like I used to be the rest of my life and I found out that I didn’t have to having the best Surgeon around anywhere! Thank You! Karen B.

Bedside manor very poor. Very condescending. Seemed as if my time had ran out and there was no time for questions or concerns.

I visited with Dr Carpenter regarding lower back pain. Hi examination was very thorough and it appeared to me that he is an expert in his field. Suggested Physical Therapy was suggested which I have completed. I am not pain free but feeling much better.

Outstanding treatment. Before surgery I had bilateral burning pain down both legs with left foot numbness, L5-S1 disk replacement. After surgery completely gone. Got up and walked around the hospital for the first time in a long time I could feel my foot and have no burning sensation. I could not believe how fast the recovery is. Great Doctor! Great staff! Even kept my family updated after surgery. I would recommend Doctor carpenter to all my friends co-workers and family.

Dr. Carpenter surgically repaired my disc 15 years ago and 3 weeks ago he repaired the one I injured above it. He's done surgery on my husband and seen my daughter as well. I won't trust anyone else with my spine.

I am still wating for a call to schedule my mri exam and my back is still hurting. I wish this process would hurryup
