Dr. David Price Roye JR.

He seems a nice caring person but after surgery he didn’t even showed up or checked on your patients. His NP team is pretty much in charge of your caring. Never responds emails, phone calls, he is always out of the country, his office team is very dissorganized don’t communicate with him and make decisions on his behalf. Pretty much after having surgery with Dr. Roye, pretty much you better pray everything goes well otherwise you are on your own! If you try calling him they tell you go to the ER sorry doctor isn’t around! The whole team is overrated I believe Dr. Roye should retire and move to China because that’s all he cares about but his patients. Don’t do surgery with him.

Dr Roye was extremely professional and spent a great amount of time with my son. He is thorough and attentive.

Dr. Roye is always a pleasure to deal with. He takes the time to explain everything to us and always takes time to explain everything to my son, who has lots of questions. I would recommend Dr. Roye to all of my friends and family.

Took way too long to see him! Every time we come here we have to wait over an hour

I had severe Scoliosis, and Dr. Roye operated on me over 10 years ago. Without the surgery, I probably would have died. While I find him extremely intelligent and knowledgeable, I had several complications during surgery which were not explained ahead of time. Also, since he operates on a lot of kids, including me (I was 11 when I had surgery) I feel there wasn't adequate psychological help prior. It would be helpful to offer counseling, as 12 hour surgeries can be difficult to cope with. Regardless, he's an ok surgeon.

DOCTOR DAVID P. ROYE IS THE BEST TOP SURGEON THAT I HAD MET. WHEN I HAVE MY SCOLOSIS BACK SURGERY I WILL DEFINITELY USE HIM.

Dr. Roye is something of a hero in our family. He operated successfully on my niece many years ago, correcting severe scoliosis that was having a serious impact on her life. My own daughter was under his care for years, and was close to the point of needed surgery. Fortunately, that wasn't necessary. But in all our interactions, he was impressive: Kind, clearly highly intelligent, engaged, a good listener who really seemed to want what was best for our daughter. He is very prominent in his field, but was always quick to admit the shortcomings of even the best surgical intervention and the lack of studies validating certain approaches. He seemed highly competent and humble at the same time. I've never been involved with a doctor I trusted more.

My daughter has been under Dr Roye's care for scoliosis since she was one year old and has had multiple surgeries with him. She is now 16. He has proven himself to be, not only highly skilled and always on the forefront of learning and using new techniques, but also a very kind man. He was the first pediatric surgeon in NYC to use VEPTR rods and regularly attends seminars to keep current and exchange ideas with other doctors. There's no other doctor I'd rather have treat my daughter.

Dr. David Roye operated on my first born 30 years ago. She was born with a hip problem that went undiagnosed for 2 years. I cannot say enough about Dr. Roye, in fact, I am emotional as I write this. Without going into detail. This Dr. is not only amazing, but a wonderful caring human being. Because of Dr. David Roye not only is my daughter walking, but she is a physical education teacher who runs 4 miles daily. All I can say in closing, If you have a problem that is within his field, I hope you are lucky enough to meet with him.
