Dr. Coco Dughi, MD

Knowledgeable, great at listening, understanding my concerns, & tailoring her trestment accordingly. Clearly explains things & has great medical skills & followup Advocated for me with my other Drs. Also, very pleasant & down to earth. Thank you Dr Dughi, my PCP for 20+ years!

Initially I was okay with Dr. Coco Dughi. She seemed competent if mediocre. As time went on I became more and more dissatisfied with her and her office. I think there are HIPAA privacy issues (she talks so loud you can hear detailed info about other patients) and she didn't catch something that another doctor noticed. That doctor sent me to a specialist, thank goodness. I fired Dr. Dughi after that and am happier with my new doctor. Also, I don't feel rushed with this new doc and I felt rushed in every appointment with Dr. Dughi.

Good luck getting a call back or a prescription refill in a timely manner. Good luck having your appointment EVER start on time; she regularly books so tightly that she runs an hour to 1.5 hours late. Disrespectful of your time. Not crazy about her bedside manner. Pass.

I have been a patient of hers for years. She is top notch- Caring, competent and great sense of humor. It takes a long time to get in for checkup but she will get you within a day or so for anything else.

Not a great experience w Dr. Dughi after waiting months to get in.

I was a patient of Dr. Dughi's for several years and while I initially liked her, I ultimately found her disappointing and found a new doctor. Getting phone calls returned from her office is like pulling teeth, and don't you dare complain about it or next time, you'll wait even longer to get a return call to fill a prescription, get a question answered, etc. Dughi was friendly enough at first but as time went on, she became very complacent and at the end, I felt like she wasn't concerned about my health or well being. And who needs a doctor like that? Also, if you're someone who's short on time, Dughi is NOT the doctor for you because she double and triple books. Plan on waiting 1 to 1 1/2 hours PAST your appointment to get in. In other words, if you think you're going to fit a quick visit in on your lunch hour, you'd do better to take the entire afternoon off because you'll still be sitting in her waiting room. There are plenty of other doctors out there who care and who respect your… time...choose one of them instead of Dughi.

Dr. Dughi plays fast and loose with medical information and she violated HIPAA. She blew me off when I tried to complain about it and didn't take me seriously. If you go to her office, you can hear her talk about private medical information regarding her patients because of how her office is set up - it's impossible NOT to overhear things. I certainly don't want other patients knowing my reasons for seeing her. This problem, combined with what I take to be a lack of seriousness toward her patients, is why I found another doctor.

I'm not impressed with Dr. Coco Dughi. She runs so late, all the time, and it's been frustrating. After waiting 1 hour and a half past my appointment time, I was finally in the exam room and in the middle of a difficult conversation with Dr. Dughi. There's a knock at the door and it's a man I've never seen in the office before. Dr. Dughi excuses herself and steps out for 20+ minutes - this, after already waiting an extra 90 minutes. I was so angry when she came back in the room and even angrier when she told me who it was who had interrupted our appointment: Patrick Menzies, the CEO of Boulder Medical Center. I couldn't believe the CEO would walk up to the exam room and interrupt our appointment; the arrogance of it was unbelievable. Dr. Dughi had some choice words as well, nothing I can repeat here though. How dare he barge in like that and keep her away from patients. A professional way to handle that would have been to make an appointment with her to discuss whatever it was he… wanted to complain to her about, not interrupt her time with a patient. I was so disgusted with his behavior, her foul mouth and her lack of respect for people by constantly running late that I left the practice and found a new doc who's on time for appointments and who is respectful. Also, the CEO hasn't barged in and demanded to see her...what a bonus.

If you're a new patient you might not want to bother with Dr. Coco Dughi because it took me 8 months to get an appointment. No joke - eight months. I'd heard some good things about her so it might be worth the wait, but it wasn't. First, Dr. Dughi is ALWAYS late to her appointments by at least an hour and sometimes longer. Which makes it impossible to do an appointment over a lunch hour. She's not apologetic about making you wait, either, she says that's "just the way it is." So, she's disrespectful of your time. Second, I have real concerns about HiPAA violations here - the office is small and you can clearly hear her talk to her assistants about really personal problems the patients in her other rooms are having - there's almost no privacy. (They can hear your problems, too). And if you happen to know the other patients then you really have a lot of information you shouldn't have about their conditions. This made me really uncomfortable, and she seems oblivious about it. Another… thing that bugged me was that she bragged about some of her other (high status) patients. Like from the Boulder County District Attorney's office. Not sure I'd want my doctor talking about this to strangers. These are some of the reasons I found a new doctor who values my time and my privacy. I don't recommend Dr. Dughi, especially if you have to wait for an appointment. There are plenty of other doctors who'd happily take your business

Great and caring doctor with a great personality.
