Dr. Cody Barnes grew up in a large town in Oklahoma. His parents taught him the value of hard work and character. He always wanted to pursue a career in surgery and trauma/critical care. Dr. Barnes spent his residency at the University of Missouri from 2013-2018. He went on to fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis from 2018-2020 where he not only trained in trauma but took care of patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Barnes later joined a hospital in Colorado where he honed his skills in robotic surgery. He joined CoxHealth in January of 2023. His policy is to give you the best care he can provide. He will speak to you like you are family, open and honest, to work with you on obtaining the best outcome. During his free time, you will find Dr. Barnes spending time outdoors hiking, fishing, and exploring.
