Dr. Coleman J Spector

Very poor experience. Coleman is a good oral surgeon, but a crap person. He is also cheap. The time on my parking meter had run out and instead of sending one of his assistants to put money in, he took me down from the nitrous oxide so that I could put money in! Really????!!! Also, he is a know-it-all and not pleasant to his staff, which by the way are all young women in their 20s and 30s who seem afraid to speak when he is in the room. One example of his being a know-it-all is when I told him that he had not mentioned previously that I could not eat on the extraction side for a year. He said that he did and I said that he did not as I would have remembered his saying a whole year. Well, I tell him, "You did not say that" he would counter, "yes, I did". This went on for 4 or 5 times, but really??? Is it just possible with the amt of patients he sees, he thought he told me but he was thinking of someone else? I saw 1 oral surgeon and would remember what was said. But the fact that he… would not admit being mistaken told me this was not someone to stay with. I changed and went to Dr. Charles Goodman (who is in the vicinity) and was glad I did. Goodman is wonderful.

Unprofessional and rude. I have periodontal disease and came to him for recommendations on what I can do to save my existing teeth and what to do about a prior implant that has to be removed. He spent over an hour just rambling and showing me xrays of past implants he has done; he was unable or unwilling to give me any professional insight or recommendations. At one point he asked me if I had $50,000 for implants of all my teeth. I sincerely asked him why I would want to replace teeth that even though have periodontal disease are still intact, not causing any problems and are solid. He just got very loud and angry and was unable to answer me. In the end after an hour of listening to him ramble, his only recommendation to me was that I needed to see a restorative dentist. This is was the worse 'consultation' I ever had.

I have gone to this office twice and both times i was taken care of by dr.spector. i had to get a tooth removed and i was extremely nervous. He put my mind at ease and removed the tooth without any difficultly. I would definitely recommend his office for any oral surgery. Office personnel is extremely sweet and attentive to my needs and worries. Thank you again.
