Doctor Berry really takes his time to answer your questions and his humor dispelled many of my worries during my first pregnancy!

I just had the most horrific experience with this doctor! Today I went into same day surgery to have a leep and tubal ligation. My normal ob had discovered I had hsil during my annual. After taking about what would need to be done for that me and my normal ob agreed since I would be under already he could do a tubal at the same time. Unfortunately my doctor had a death in the family and was unable to do my surgery and ask doctor berry to preform the procedures. I met berry yesterday and he started telling me about essure I told him I wasn't sure I wanted that over the normal cut tie tubal. That I wanted to read up on it well last night I did.this morning when I went to surgery I told berry I would like to pass on the essure and the tubal with his replay telling me no Dr with any brains does a cut and tie tubals anymore.with that he walked out of my room and cacelled my leep and refused to do my procedure. Very unprofessional no bed sidemanner does not want a patient doctor dialog at… all. If your looking for a cold Dr that will tell you what your body needs he is probably your guy

I came to doctor Berry at 32 weeks along in my pregnancy, after leaving a horrible practice, he was a breath of fresh air! I was a high risk pregnancy, and he was very thorrow and cautious, but put my fears at ease by not over reacting to every little thing. I chose Dr. Berry because of his reputation for minimal interventions--his INCREDIBLY low c-section, induction, and episiotomy rates...and with the difficult 21 hour labor I had, with any other doctor I'm sure I would not have been able to have the vaginal birth I wanted. Dr. Berry was PERFECT!!! As for some negative comments I've read, all I can say is Dr. Berry is truthful and straight forward with a slightly sarcastic humor about him--I LIKED those traits. Bottom line, Dr. Berry is the best OBGYN I've ever found (and I went to 3 different practices and interviewed 6 different doctors before choosing him!).

Dr. Berry has delivered my children and I am still a patient of his. There isn't a lot of hand-holding. He's not going to be your shoulder to cry on. He's just a regular guy. Yes, you can tell when he's had a bad day. Sometimes he'll sit and chat and sometimes he's out the door. But he's compassionate when he needs to be and he seems to genuinely care about the babies he's delivered. He's tried to tell me jokes on days I've been nervous and he's asked to hold my children. If you can be relaxed and remember, he's not spending all day with you because he wants to get home to be with his family, he's great.

This man is HORRIBLE. Ask any OB in Winchester, and they will tell you women that have either had the sense to leave Dr. Berry before delivery, or soon thereafter. Even if it's inconvenient, go to Winchester, you'll be happy you did.
