Dr. Colin A. Lacroix

I agree with the other review, I was seen for an annual physical very quickly, there is usually a wait for these appointments...that should have been my first sign. First, they tried to charge me for an annual physical because "people usually go in with complaints so we do an initial visit then the physical." I know the difference between a well and sick visit...not necessary. The nurse looked at me as said "so you don't have any problems?, ok I'll have to code this as a physical then"....duh! Next, we start talking about my diet, I advised that I had lost a significant amount of weight using healthy diet and exercise, he pushes diet pills on me. I told him that I'd rather not take medication that is not necessary. My BMI is 28, I am not obese, and I just said that a healthy lifestyle is working...he then knocks my methods and tells me that I shouldn't write off the pills. THIS IS WHAT IS WRONG WITH OUR HEALTH CARE SYSTEM. It is doctors like this. Why would I take dangerous… medications with awful side effects when eating healthy and exercising are working just fine. So moving on, I mentioned a few moles that I was concerned about, but I told him that I'd schedule with a dermatologist. He says nah I'll take a look at them, I am really good at removing them. He glanced at a couple on my back for less then 5 seconds and chooses 4 to remove and said I'm good. I am sorry, but for someone with as many moles as I have it is recommended that I get checked regularly and any doctor should know this. A quick 5 second scan of 20% of my body hardly constitutes a skin cancer check. It is clearly all about money for him.

I really like him, he knows what he is talking about and makes it so you can understand it,

so far so good, I have been visiting his office for about 7 months and so far I am very satisfied. I have never heard of any Dr. that you can get an appointment as quick as Dr Lacroix.

I have to have tests before we know the diagnosis. Will have follow up after test results come back. Over all I was very happy with Dr. Lacroix and his office staff. All were very kind and caring.
