Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:Pursuing a career in therapy has always felt like a natural calling for me. From an early age, I was very in tune with others, fascinated with the brain and aware of the pain people carried with them. Being a therapist allows me the opportunity to advocate, empower, motivate and encourage resilience in others and to help them cultivate their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. What I want my patients to know about me:Since 2009, I have been working in the field of social work/therapy in a variety of roles including both inpatient and outpatient settings. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel they can explore themselves. I have additional training specialties in EMDR, CPT, anger management and as a trauma certified specialist. What I do when I'm not seeing patients:I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, walking, reading or being outdoors in the sunshine.
