Dr. Colleen Mary Pietras, MD

My husband required emergency open heart surgery in 2020. He was so lucky, that Dr. Pietras was on call. Although I have never met her in person, she was compassionate, explained the procedure well, reassured us, that she would do her very best to see him through it. He had no complications of any kind and is doing well. My husband is totally convinced, Dr. Pietras saved his life. We would recommend her to anybody, she's the best.

I recently had a cardiac condition that required surgery. I met with Dr. Pietras multiple times where she carefully walked me through the procedure, what to expect immediately afterwards, and the longer term results. I was extremely impressed with Dr. Pietras's professionalism, courtesy, and willingness to listen to my concerns. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone needing her services. She is a top-notch surgeon and a very kind person.

Dr Pietras took excellent care of my son. He was a complex patient. She took great care of him as well as our family in explaining everything with great detail and patience. So very lucky to have and he she is a highly skilled surgeon

I am very lucky that my brother has been under the care of Dr Pietras. He is a very complicated case. Dr Pietras managed a multi discipline team that included, mental health, infectious disease, dental/oral surgery, and cardiology/EP. Several critical areas and issues had to be addressed before heart surgery could be performed. There were several challenges/complications that presented prior to surgery and each was addressed. Dr Pietras was superb at managing each challenge and most important at communicating with my brother and our family. She is extremely patient, and compassionate. She is one of the best surgeons at Yale/Bridgeport and extremely kind. We are all grateful to have had such a dedicated physician/surgeon.
