My wife left this appointment stunned by the lack of professionalism and clinical rigor. The nurse practitioner rattled off multiple diagnoses with no clear justification, no meaningful discussion of differential diagnoses, and no evidence that any real assessment had been done. She felt that it was less like medical care and more like guesswork delivered with unwarranted confidence. The “treatment plan” was especially alarming—essentially a list of over-the-counter medications anyone could Google, presented as if it were a thoughtful medical strategy. There was no explanation of why these treatments were appropriate, no consideration of alternatives, and no discussion of risks, benefits, or expected outcomes. If this is the standard, it raises serious concerns about clinical competence. What made the experience worse was the attitude. Questions were met with impatience, clarification seemed to be taken as a personal insult, and the overall demeanor was dismissive and condescending.

She is an asset for Sentara. She is smart, friendly, approachable and listens to her patients. She demonstrates professionalism. She makes you feel like she cares. She doesn't rush you in and out.
