Dr. Connie Smith, MD

I'm not certain what other patients are talking about in these reviews. Connie smith has been my doctor for 36 yrs. My wait times are very reasonable, always less than twenty minutes. I can call when I'm sick and she sees me the same day. She is very experienced and a very good doctor

I went to see her based on a recommendation. I should have paid attention to the red flags when they were having problems with my insurance company and the person I was speaking with slipped and said that they had a complaint and that they were suspended from my health care. The other flag was that the staff are short and rude; don't want to listen and cut you off mid sentence. I was told the problem with my insurance company was not being resolved and it was over two months and they didn't know what the reason was. I really needed a doctor. So, I called and had the problem resolved in one phone call AND found out what the reason was!!! When I tried to tell the staff what the problem was, once again I was cut off mid sentence and didn't want to hear what I thought would have been helpful for the future if anyone else had a problem. Not even a thank you. The person who takes your blood pressure, temp and weight asked me why I was there. Before I could explain, she cut me off and… said "no need for you to say it twice. Dr. Smith is going to ask you anyway." When I got in to see Dr. Smith, I understood the staff behavior. They take their lead from her!!! She was curt and rude as if I was putting her out. Instead of doing a new patient exam, she said "What do you want from me?" I have never had a doctor behave that rude an uninterested in a new patient. When I was trying to explain my medical history, she kept cutting me off and didn't want to know anything about my medical issues. I had a procedure to improve my weight loss and she said she didn't believe in it and that I must have nutrient deficiencies without have blood test results. She made it very clear to me that she did not approve of the weight loss surgery, yet she has litature at the front desk. When I tried to explain the surgery improved my health and that I take vitamins daily, she cut me off again. She barely went into the reason why I needed to be seen and said that she was going to refer me to a specialist, but I never got a referral or the name of the doctor or where I should go for blood work. Dr. Smith told me that she didn't know how she would get my xrays and I would have to repeat it. I asked if I could sign a release and she said she didn't do that. I have co pays and can barely afford to pay them. So because of her laziness, I will have to go to pick up the results. I doubt if they will have the results from what they ordered if I go...which I am not going to do. They are so out of touch with what is available for treatment in the area. How is it that I am new to the area, and I know what is going on??? How is it possible that the staff couldn't get the insurance issues resolved in months and it took me a little over an hour to straighten it out for them??? More importantly, how is it that I am more knowledgeable than the doctor??? I will not be going back and will be looking for someone else. If you're into being abused and treated as if you don't exist and are an annoyance, then be my guest and go to this practice. You won't be seeing me there!!!

Dr. Smith has been my chiropractor for over 20 years and I love her. She is very caring and concerned about her patients. She gets you in very quickly when you need an appointment and will make room for you if no appointment is available. I reccommend her to all my family and friends.

Avoid at all costs. This dr was chosen by my insurance co to be my pcp. When I went in for my first appt I waited almost an hour and a half past my appt time only to be told that their computer system crashed and that i needed to call and verify myself. I worked in a drs office for 3 years and we never asked our patients to do our jobs. Instead of verifying i changed my pcp on the spot and went to the emergency room instead. Once there I was seen in 20 min.

This Dr. was the absolute worse Dr. I have ever had. Her attitude was very unpleasent and she did not take the time to hear my concerns, nor did she read the information I gave beforhand. She gave me a papsmear and she was very, very rough. I was quite uncomfortable and she continued to be forceful. She made a comment that "whatever is going on down her is not pretty", meaning that I had some sort of female issue going on. She is prescription happy and has no problem giving you prescriptions that you don't need. She gave me a prescription to begin using her "pre-menopausal" shake that I really did not need because I am not in pre-menopause, not was that the reason I was there. I would not recommend this Dr. to anyone at all for any reason. I will say that it is unfortunate for the office staff to have to work with such an uncaring Dr. because they were great. I will also say that when I called back to receive my pap results; the test revealed that there was nothing giong on with me,… therefore leading me to believe that Dr. Smith just wanted to give me a prescription she knew I did not need so that she could be paid once I filled it, which I never did. Sorry Dr. Smith, you didn't get me!!
