Dr. Conrad Otto Yu, MD

The girl who answered the phone was extremely rude from the moment she picked up the phone until I ended the call without making an appointment. She actually argued with me about an HMO . I would never see this doctor simply based on the very rude and disrespectful young woman he has answering the phone for appointments

Very bad experience .I don't recommend this doctor.I had stiches on my hand for 10 days and he sent me to work after 4 days even I couldn't get ready for work because i had pain. He told me he will not make any money if he gives me more time off because my company will not send him more patients. I had accident at work.I think it's horrible.

This review is specific to Dr Conrad Yu. I was sent to see him as an "independent medical evaluation". Or IME. you may be familiar with this if you're a part of the workers Comp system. Which I was for over 3 years. After years of fighting the system and being in chronic pain, I have finally received a much needed surgery through my private insurance. Backing up, I was sent to Dr. Yu to be evaluated. After he yanked my injured arm around a few times basically told me there was nothing wrong with me except some inflammation. I was met with confusion and disbelief as to why I would need an arm sling (which provided me some relief) and that I shouldn't be in that much pain. I realized that he was simply regurgitating what the paperwork from the surgical Dr said (that guy is a whole other story!) and that he was not going to evaluate me as he should, as the oath he swore when becoming a Dr obligated him to do. I then asked him to speak to his colleague across the hall. Another Dr. who saw… me as a second opinion and diagnosed me with a small tear in my labrum many months prior. After my evaluation Dr Yu told me that I was 100% and recommended me for a full duty release. But on paper recommend that I be out through a functionality test to find my new work restrictions. Well that sure sounds screwy doesn't it? So here I am.. After 4 years of fighting the WC system, Dr's who diagnose patients based on what they know the insurance company wants to hear (whatever is cheapest and whatever discredits your case and pain) I am finally in recovery. Literally just got out of surgery this morning and now that the anesthesia has worn off and the pain meds kicked in... I feel quite validated and vindicated. Sad to have lost my 20year career, my home and 4 years of my life.. but happy to be on the mend all the same. I hope that this review helps someone, even 1 person in the future, to not waste their precious time and energy with this Dr. if you see his name, immediately contact your adjuster and request Dr. Edward Ashman. Dr Ashman is truthful despite the WC system and will actually help you. The surgery I had done this morning was a small Labrum tear repair with a rotator clean up.

Dr. Yu, Jay (PA) & the man who gave me my 2 shots today were great! Of course, they always are when I come to the office. The injections were as cool as the other side of the pillow. I have been a patient of Nevada Orthopedic and Spine for years and I would recommend them to anyone who has a orthopedic condition from the front waiting room to the back exam is run smoothly!!

Dr Yu and his assistant are amazing providers. They were extremely attentive and supportive to my son's needs. I would recommend them to my family and friends.

Very knowledgeable, friendly and professional treatment of my hand. I also enjoy the beautiful building and Dr. Yu seeing me at my appointment time, unlike my family doctor where I can expect 1 hour or more after my appointment time. The guest water is also very nice. It has been a pleasure to be seen by Dr Yu and his staff.

We have seen Dr Yu twice for my daughter. The first time we saw him for for a third opinion (one was from a horrible Dr in the same group). She had been misdiagnosed for 9 months for an extremely painful condition. Within seconds of being evaluating, he gave a correct diagnosis and began the treatment plan within minutes. He was attentive, concerned and professional. When my daughter tore out her labrum, we requested him again based on his superior care. He did not disappoint. He listened to her concerns about her future (she's a ball player) and together they decided on a treatment . She required surgery this time. Her expected one hour surgery took 2.5 hrs because it was worse than the MRI revealed. He was so thorough during surgery that he even took care of something preemptively that would effect her in the future as a pitcher. She is in recovery still, but her progress has surpassed expectations; there is no doubt in my mind that it is because of the expert attention during… surgery. Before, during and after he is a superior doctor who actually cares for and listens to the patient, and in the case, the parent.

From the first step into the office you could see the exemplary organization and that you would be treated well. The preliminary paperwork was quickly accomplished and I was in to see Dr. Yu 10 minutes ahead of schedule. Dr. Yu knowledge and patient skills inspired confidence and a feeling of comfort. Great experience!

Dr. Yu performed carpal tunnel surgery on both of my hands and the results have been amazing!! I am so impressed with his surgical skills. He also has an incredible staff that made the whole process very easy.
