Dr. Constance Okeke, MD

From my first encounter with Dr. Okeke it has been evident that she is a caring individual as well as a wonderful doctor. During the two years I’ve been seeing her my initial impression has been reenforced time and time again. She always listens to my concerns and takes the time to put my mind at ease by answering what I need to know. I’m never rushed. She and her staff make you feel like family, not just like someone that walked in the door.

I was referred to Virginia eye Consultants by Americas Best eye glasses. I called that same day to make an appointment. Upon hearing of the numbers of my reading they asked me to come in that day. When I arrived, everyone was pleasant and very helpful. They went out of their way to make my visit as pleasant as possible. I have had four visits. The first was to confirm the numbers that got me there in the first place. I met with Dr. Okeke. She was very polite and very informative concerning my condition. She recommended the laser procedure which I agreed to. The second visit was for the laser procedure. Dr. Okeke was very professional as we as very patient. After the procedure was over, she explained to me what to expect and gave me eye drops to use. The third visit was the same as the second just the other eye. My fourth visit was a follow up. I had a few more test done and met again with Dr. Okeke for her recommendation. Dr. Okeke again, was very informative, and polite as we as… patient with me. I feel very comfortable with Dr. Okeke as well as her staff at Virginia Eye Consultants and would highly recommend her to any.

My visit was awesome, Dr. Okeke was very delightful, I needed surgery and she explained quite eloquently why I needed the procedure and she also explained the financial implications to my insurance and best options available for me. Dr. Okeke has been my eye doctor for a while and she will remain my doctor God willing.

I do not recommend Dr. Okeke. She performed cataract surgery on my eye and implanted an incorrect lens. Her treatment for glaucoma is out of the "mainstream" but is NOT effective. Does not spend enough time explaining options and refuses to call patients back. If you are looking for personal care, this is not the place to go. Once your situation becomes complicated medically, she disappears.

Dr. Okeke performed cataract surgery and implanted the wrong lens. The lens was replaced and it’s still not correct. She combined the surgery with a glaucoma procedure that was not effective (trabectome). Suffolk, VA.

Dr. Okeke.. performed eye surgery and she made me blind in that eye.it has been more than a year ago. She openly admitted she did not know how to correct the mistake she made. I will NEVERrecommend her to anyone. She has not called nor has she tried to contact me to inquire about my well being. She has very poor bedside manner. I pray she doesnt destroy someone elese life like she destroyed mine. I now have a doctor who is very much concerned about my eyes. If Dr. Okeke would admit she made a mistake i can move on with my life, because ,i know she is not perfect.

Dr Okeke was very kind and very thorough in explaining what was going on with my eyes. I am very confident in her hands to help me continue seeing.
