Dr. Cornel Jose Lupu, MD

Each appointment with Dr Lupu is time well spent. His expertise covers a broad spectrum. Dr Lupu is quick to followup on any tests he may have recommended. His office staff is equally efficient and knowledgeable.

ncredibly unprofessional!!! It’s horrible how uncomfortable this man made me feel. From asking weird personal questions. For example I tell him what I do for a living and he responds “what the h3ll is that!?” ... excuse me who are you talking to? He asks me if I want to try sleeping pills then when I say yes he makes some funny suggestion that I’m a dr*g addict because apparently people get addicted to whatever he was trying to prescribe. Again very rude and unprofessional. He asks me questions about a personal relationship that has NOTHING to do with my health. Rushed me out the first time I came and then the second visit made me wait a whole hour just to be met with more inappropriate comments. I was dealing with something and not eating as a result later I came back and weighed heavier. I was also on my period. His response is to tell me that I should be anxious more often. So in other words I should be in a bad mental state so I either won’t eat or will eat less. IVE NEVER… heard such an inappropriate comment from a doctor before. I was repulsed. Can you imagine if I was going through some kind of eating problem or bad body image how much that comment could have poorly affected me. You would think a doctor would be mindful of the things he says to his patients but maybe his mind is leaving him. I’ve had gas station attendants be more professional and kind to me. The last straw was when he went to feel my stomach during the exam and asked me to lift up my dress. There was no other nurse in the room to watch everything (I’m used to this way of doing things) so I began to feel uncomfortable. He asks again and i say “do I have to” because why would I let this man look at me so he can make another incredibly inappropriate comment. It’s truly disheartening that people like this exist in the medical field. There was one nurse at his office who was quite professional and even kind. However I did hear the nurses gossiping about a patient on my second visit and could even hear the conversation when I was both in the waiting room and in the doctors office. Cried afterward because it left me with such a bad feeling. If you are a woman I suggest you find another doctor. You’ve been warned!

Dr. Lupu was my primary care doctor from 1986 - 2017. I moved out of the area and the distance is just to far for me to drive, or I he would still be my doctor. He gives each patient the time they need, he's compassionate, gentle, and a really great doctor.

The doctor's nurse is rude at times and not fair with some of the patients.

One of the best doctors I have been to. He is very caring and I never feel rushed. He takes time to answer all my questions and follows up. He staff is friendly and great about giving me the information I need.

I have known Dr. Lupu now for six years. I am in good health, so I only go to him for annual physical exams. Today was a follow-up visit to one of those exams. Dr. Lupu is friendly. He's is careful to take comprehensive exams to include all necessary tests such as blood, urine, EKG, colonoscopy, etc. One thing I especially like about Dr. Lupu too is that he is patient and takes time to answer any questions that I have and he asks questions to get a clear picture of my situation before he replies to any of my questions. He's direct but polite. I know I'm a little overweight, and he tells me I need to lose weight and how to do it. Dr. Lupu is an older but energetic gentleman; he reminds me of the doctor TV shows back in the '70s. Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Lupu.
