Dr. Courtney Spalter Berman, MD

She completely lacks appropriate bedside manner, is poor at building rapport with her patients, argued with me about taking a medication that could pose risks for my child. She suggests major life-changing surgeries without disclosing alternate options and without consideration for how this impacts the patient.

Horrible, doesn’t listen to patients.

Surgical error caused lifelong problems and pain including removal of a vital organ that she damaged. I wish I had had a better surgeon for my very basic surgery so that my life wouldn't be forever affected with daily pain.

At first, she mistook me as another patient and so thought I was much younger than I really was (I already look young as it is, so that didn’t help!) But I explained to her of menstrual issues I was having and she gave me a very condescending look. I explained I had gone off birth control as I did not like how I felt on it. I got another condescending look and lecture about not using BC. She seemed reluctant to have further testing done for my irregular periods. However, I got her to order me a vaginal ultrasound. Overall, it was a confusing visit. I also just felt demeaned a few times, as if what I was saying was being blown off. Overall, it was an okay visit, just wish my concerns had been met with the same empathy by the doctor.
