Great skills, listens to your questions, friendly, perfect execution of the procedure

I had a small tumor on my parathyroid and Dr. Edwards told me how she uses a special contraption to pull back my vocal cords so I didn't have to worry about my voice. She said some patients have only complained about their voice being an octave higher. I said great because I had a deep voice for a woman. Well,I don't know about that contraption but she paralyzed my right vocal cord leaving me with almost no voice. She then pushed me off on a throat specialist who then pushed me to another surgeon who gave me 5 needles in my throat ( while I was awake) to try and restore some vocal function. I may still need a surgery to implant a permanent prosthesis to speak normally. Her office called me once and the nurse kept saying "what I can't hear you". Of course you couldn't. Your doctor paralyzed my vocal cord. Haven't heard from her again. Doctors who are at fault are always told to ignore and distance themselves from the damage they have done hoping the patient won't take it any further.… She's a terrible doctor and I am not going away quietly

Dr. Edwards is the best endocrine surgeon that I could ask for to treat my teenage daughter who recently was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Dr. Edwards is caring, supportive and makes you feel as you as part of her family. Forever grateful!

Scheduling an appointment with Dr. Edwards was very easy and I was able to get an appointment really quickly. Dr. Edwards spent over an hour with me to explain my medical issue and options. She made me feel extremely comfortable. Throughout the process of surgery and post surgery, Dr. Edwards and Laci were right there for me. Dr. Courtney Edwards is just the BEST thyroid surgeon I could ask for. I can't say enough great things about her! She is very knowledgeable, skilled, compassionate, caring! She really listens her patients! 3 nodules were found in my thyroid last month and I was terrified. Dr Edwards explained my procedure in such a way that made me feel less anxious about having surgery. After having my entire thyroid removed I was able to go home the same day and by the third day, I was only taking Tylenol. I strongly believe this helped my recovery! Day 16 post op, I was out riding my bike, I went back yoga and my scar is barely visible!

When I first met Dr. Edwards I was a bit concerned as she seems very young. That fear quickly went away after meeting with her. She explained my procedure thoroughly and I trusted her recommendation to removed my whole thyroid. It turns out that I had cancer, which couldn't be determined from my biopsy. She did a great job with the incision and my scar is barely noticeable.
