Courtney M Mehock, DO

I’ve had Dr Mehock as my primary provider for going on 2 years and have only admirable things to say. Yes, she is very busy and usually late but her attention to detail and task supersedes the waiting.

My children’s pediatrician retired a few years ago so I knew I needed to find them a new doctor in our area. With some research we found Dr. Courtney Mehock and her outstanding staff. She works well with all of our children and is great about getting back with us or having a nurse get back with us on any tests we’ve had done. She’s patient and understanding and easy to talk to. I highly recommend her to anyone searching for a family doctor.

I called Dr. Mehock office and a pleasant voice answered the phone. I asked if Dr. Mehock was accepting new patients and the appointment receptionist responded with, “ appointments are one and a half month away.” I informed her that this was acceptable and she asked what type of insurance I had. I informed her that I had Blue Cross Blue Shield through the state of Michigan. She responded, “ you have Medicaid?” I responded “no” I am employed with the state of Michigan. She then stated that she could place me on a list and call me back at some unknown time to inform me if I could obtain an appointment. She requested my information reluctantly, which I provided. She then stated, “you know we are located in Novi.” I became puzzled and responded that I live in a neighboring city. She became quiet as her attempts to discourage me to make an appointment were not working. However it was, I told her that I would find another doctor. She happily said “okay.” I’m not sure what Kathy W. mindset… was when speaking with me, however I’m sure she didn’t go into the medical department without the ability to check her biases.

Everyone in the office is friendly and helpful. The only complaint I have is that Dr. Mehock runs on the late side even if you book one of her first appointments in the morning. She gets your main points and has great manners. She is a relaxing doctor but gets done what needs to be done. I like that she does not prescribe a lot of extra unnecessary tests and prescriptions.

Dr. Mehock TRULY cares about her patients. They mean the world to her. She is an excellent diagnostician and I would recommend both her (and her partner, Dr. Matt BenedixBenedix), to anyone. Everyone in my family goes to their office. If you're looking for personal care and not an assembly line approach, look no further. She is wonderful!! She works tirelessly to provide excellent care to her patients. She is well loved and respected.

Awful. Does not care about patients at all. Spends more time talking about her kids than talking about why you came in.

Dr. Mehock was mean and cold during both my visits to her office. I am stuck with her due to the fact I have to stay with her during my procedures. I need referrals from her and the insurance wont change my primary until the procedures are finished. They scheduled me for 10:30, so I thought. I was 15 minutes early. Well they told me I was 15 minutes late! :( I apologized up and down and said I thought they said 10:30. She REFUSED to see me. I have been very sick and have surgery coming up. I also have blood and protein in my urine. I am diabetic. I NEEDED to be seen. After crying my eyes out she agreed to see me ....AFTER she sees all her patients for the DAY! well I waited. I was so upset. She came into the room and was mean and cold and hateful. She did not write me ANY prescriptions. And told me she wants me back in THREE MONTHS!!! I have bruising on the back on my right knee that looks to me like it very well could be a diabetic thing. She agreed. Did nothing. I do not know how I… am going to get through all of this with this mean Dr but I have to :( Hopeful I can save someone else from going through the same thing.

I would (and have) recommended Dr. Mehock to people. She is a great doctor. Very friendly, caring, easy to talk to. Always makes me feel very comfortable.
