Dr. Coy Wayne Gammage, MD

Dr. Coy Gammage has been my oncologist for 20 yrs. I have found him to be a caring dedicated dr. He is smart dedicates himself to study to perform his best for his patients. Now we have butted heads on issues over the years but hey, I am still here, doing pretty well considering. His assistant Sheila is wonderful and he always hires good people NP for assistance in his practice. Sitting in waiting room for all these years, I hear comments from acquaintances and other other patients, from "they don't like his manner" to how smart he is " Well Dr. Gammage does have a lil trouble relating his intelligence to the patient, but he certainly makes the effort. I approve

He is rude,place is nasty

Very up front with me. Was very knowledgeable about my breast cancer treatment. For as many patients that he has, must be doing something right. A Christian man. Very glad I choose him for my oncologist.

Very good doctor. Always listens. Takes time to explain. Gives options and seeks to find the best care for your disease. Highly recommend

I have been very pleased with the care I get from Dr. Gammage. He is knowledgeable, always answers any questions and concerns and is compassionate. The care I get is excellent in all areas. He always listens and always treats me with respect.

My wife Died in his clinic under his care with all his staff there 5 min after they started her chemo drip she died and I still have not gotten any reason all he said was sorry I wonder if the dam chemo chair she died in is still there

Friendly, explains things well, concern for patients, very thorough.

Dr. Gammage is a good doctor. He is not warm and fuzzy, don't confuse that with lacking compassion. We have never been rushed or brushed off. Some visits we have more concerns and questions and he is there to answer. He is straight forward and I appreciate that. We do wait a while to see him but I'm not sure how anyone can see as many patients as they do and do it any faster. His PA, Michael is fantastic, and so is his nurse. We trust Dr. Gammage and his staff to take care of us. I do not care for the front office staff. The 4 stars are for Dr. Gammage, Michael, and Sheila.

No bedside manner. Basically has no compassion for patient or family, textbook only doctor.

I have never met an oncologist who genuinely has no compassion to his patients. The clinic is a rat race to get patients in and out. There is no compassion and this awful doctor put me on the incorrect chemo treatment according to my doctor at M.D. Anderson. I will never go back to this clinic. I even asked to see another physician in the group and they said no. Do not see doctor.
