My mom went to her for months she gave her blood and all kinds of stuff but could never figure out what was wrong with her! She was later diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia but not by her by real doctors that know what they are doing!

I was referred to Dr Walker for low wbcs found on testing for infection. I had seen my primary doctor for fever and was felt to have a viral syndrome and saw Dr W who diagnosed me with Coxackie virus as cause of low wbc and inflammation of my heart. A friend of mine was sick at same time and despite being seen by several big MDs at several hospitals in Houston was not diagnosed. Only when I told her about my Coxsackie virus was the diagnosis made on my friend at Methodist Hospital.

I was referred for anemia and Dr Walker explained that anemia was common in females at times of pregnancy and the workup would include iron studies and if I needed iron I would receive IV iron as absorption of oral iron is iffy in pregnancy

She was informative and pleasant and open. I was iron def and she discussed the reasons and prescribed IV iron as I had not been able to tolerate oral iron.

If I would of know then what I know now, I would have refused to accept Dr. Walker as my treating physician.
