Dr. Berger is a great eye surgeon. Very skilled and committed to providing the best possible care. I had a Light Adjustable Lens (LAL) implanted for a cataract after having both RK surgery and Lasik PRK surgery decades earlier which created some predictable complications during both the surgery and the LAL treatments after the surgery. Dr. Berger explained everything clearly both before and after the surgery. The end result is excellent. I healed very well and now have the best vision I've had in many years. Dr. Berger's staff (Lisa, Casey, et al.) are also fantastic! Highly recommend both the practice and the LAL from RXSight.

I was referred to Dr Berger for Cataract surgery because I needed to have a Light Adjustable Len in my right eye. He was very precise in finding the right lens since I had problems with my Cornea. I'm very happy that I now can see 20/20. The staff was very friendly, especially Lisa.

My current ophthalmologist did not offer the light adsjustable lens implant. I visited three ophthalmologist for a complete evaluation including dilation. I did this so i could evaluate the staff. Dr Bergen’s staff is world class. Together they make a great team . I now have the light adjustable lens and could not be happier with my 20/20 vision

DR. BERGER INSTRUCTS AS HE TREATS. It is all about communication with Dr. Berger, especially since he makes himself available via email. I was able to convey to Dr. Berger my want for reading, computer and driving--WITHOUT GLASSES. I was only hopeful that he could accomplish this given I had very severe cataracts, very near sighted and seeing double due to astigmatism. My world was so limited. But, now I know more about eyes than I ever thought possible. Dr. Berger made me more understanding of my situation and options. I feel so fortunate to have found Dr. Berger on my internet searches for the "THE BEST DOCTOR". He made all my wishes come true. The last day of my "Light Adjustable Lens" treatment he said to me, "Enjoy your new vision!". To inform all, Dr. Berger introduced me to the NEW "Light Adjustable Lens" treatment which offers a "CUSTOM FIT" lens according to patient requirements! My vision is so clear, bluer than blue! Dr. Berger and his staff are amazing.

I noticed blurriness last year when attempting to read, thought I needed a stronger pair of reading glasses, such as 1.50/1.75, but that didn’t help, so I went for a complete eye exam, and was diagnosed, not only with a bad Cataract each eye, also with Fuchs Dystrophy each eye, requiring Cornea (partial) transplant surgery to replace a layer of my Cornea with new cells (from donor) as my original cells were no longer operative. I was referred to another Ophthalmologist, large practice in the Tampa Bay Area, and after attending appointment there, and one other practice/Ophthalmologist, I just didn’t feel comfortable with moving forward. I searched for other Ophthalmologists due to the complexity of the surgery required, that’s when I found Dr. Craig Berger, as stated he specializes in Cornea transplant and Cataract surgeries along with other complex eye procedures. I will confidently refer Dr. Berger’s Bay Area Eye Institute to anyone with any eye trouble, for in my eyes, no pun… intended, Dr. Craig Berger is an expert, eminent Surgeon, Ophthalmologist who I totally trust, feel confident that my eye issues are in good hands. Also there, I appreciate Dr. Lisa Gamell seeing me a couple times to ensure there were no Glaucoma issues, for she was very pleasant explaining and answering my questions, very competent as well. While attending the appointments at Bay Area Eye Institute, I noticed how caring, efficient, and competent the staff/technicians are, such as Stephanie, Lisa, and Sam. Also very helpful, along the way, have been the admin and office staff, such as Lisy, Daquori, Casey, and especially Audrey, surgery coordinator. Dr. Berger has been very caring, answering all my questions along the way, so competent, you can just tell when meeting with him that you’re in good hands. He’s performed so many Cornea Transplants. Dr. Berger recently performed the DMEK Cornea Transplant surgery on my right eye, which was so blurry before, but now amazingly the transplanted Cornea layer and donor cells are working, and no more blurriness. Thanks to Dr. Berger and his surgical talent, expertise, and wonderful Surgery Center (a fine tuned run operation so efficient, competent and pleasant staff there), for Dr. Berger’s deservingly so well respected there, and the entire Bay Area. I’m so ecstatic and delighted to report my eye site improving so much already. I am a post RK (Radial Keratotomy) patient. I have cataracts and my local doctor was not able to perform cataract surgery that would help improve my vision what so ever. I did research and found Dr. Berger. He performed my cataract surgery on my left eye and used a toric lense. I am extremely happy with the results! So far I have 20/20 vision and decreased Astigmatism! I highly recommend him for complicated cases such as mine. He literally was an answer to my prayer! Thank you Dr. Berger!
